Lucio — Restaurant in Portimão

Such a shame. My family have been coming to this restaurant since before I was born, so that's going back over 50 years. Used to be a firm favourite, so we where very much looking forward to the Lucio's experience. But what a disappointment! We had reserved a table but the manager started off by telling me I must have rung the wrong restaurant as only he and his grandfather took reservations and clearly they didn't make a mistake. When I told him I had indeed spoken to his grandfather he told me Oh but he's 75 years old, as if that was somehow my fault. The rudeness got worse and worse as they refused to apologize for their mistake and continued to blame me, going so far as to call me stupid. Shockingly rude and arrogant treatment all round. I've been there for a dinner with my girlfriend, trying to search something typical from Portuguese kitchen, but I regret to say that our good expectations were completely ruined. The sardine paté that has been served to me was a small pre-packed jar (the small alluminium ones used also for jam) but most of all, the grilled squids were completely raw and ungutted. Asked for a table and was told "I'll check and will come right back to you". Waited, while the manager saw me but pretend it didn't and preferred to continue chit-chatting with some other customers dining.
