Tasty lapas for a great price. Beef sandwich was good. Food was not salty as said in other reviews if anything I think it needed a little salt. Maybe they adjusted after reading reviews. Very friendly lady would come back. Nothing fancy, just good quick local cuisine. So went back for dinner and it’s a happening spot for the locals. Football game & beer equals good times. So for dinner we got some more lapas and espetada(steak skewer). Charcoal smoked and grilled outside with fresh garlic. I really do appreciate that the food is not overly salted like we experienced in Lisbon. Couldn’t really appreciate the food there when I can’t get past the crazy amount of salt they put in all the dishes. Super friendly owner, highly recommend. Oh and we had a digestif made in house I think it was made from 26 herbs and honey. Warning: it was strong but tasty.

Encouraged by good reviews, we visited Cafe Atlantico. Indeed, we were greeted very warmly and received a very good service. We had to wait for our food for quite a long time though (which can be an issue for the parking; we parked in front of the restaurant, but the parking time there is limited to 30mins, and despite the restaurant owner assuring us it’s okay, we didn’t want to risk problems with police so had to repark while waiting for the food). We had prawns for starters, then pork and omelette with ham and cheese, which both came with fries (not homemade) and salad. The food was okay, but not amazing. Before leaving, we were treated with some local fruits to try, which was a very nice gesture!

Do not go there! They cheat you from the beginning by not giving prices on the menu. Only a few options have prices, the others have ??? and that eventually means they charge whatever they wish. My question how it is possible to charge 11€ for chips the waiter said: this is the price. I said: where? He said: you didn’t ask. One small fish cost 21,5€🤣 The bill was done wrong way, some things we didn’t get, others we paid twice. All in all I told him they treated customers wrong way and I demanded the right bill for my order. Somehow it came with 8€ less to pay. How? Anyway, avoid this place. They cheat.

Maybe the worst and without a doubt the most boring sandwich I have ever had. It’s an insult to charge anyone 3€ for a sandwich consisting of white simple bread, mayonnaise and tuna from a can. That’s it. Nothing else. I could have bought all the ingredients in any local supermarket and made it so much better without any effort. It wasn’t warmed or toasted. The bread was even wet many places.

I don’t normally write negative reviews but this sandwich takes the price as the most simple and dull sandwich ever. I really should go back and ask what I have done to deserve such a miserable sandwich? What a...
