Unfortunately ‘Bio’ and ‘Organic’ are not concepts but words to attract and fool customers. I’ve been there more than once and it is just not worth visiting. Savoury items are too greasy and Sweets are full of refined sugar and white flour. The slow fermented bread has Salicornia/Samphire in its dough and leaves a horrible aftertaste in one’s mouth. They clearly went for a cheap industrial look but ended up with a public hospital canteen atmosphere. The staff seems to be doing you a favour and t not the case at all. Just a stone’s throw away from them there is the lovely Mademoiselle (that is second to none) and also Tavi; both are by far better than A Padaria Portuguesa. When I asked, she said she had to put it in as two halves and each half is 4.50€ but I told her I had a whole sandwich which says 7.50€ but she kept insisting she had to enter it into the register that way. To me this is fraudulent advertising. If they wanted to enter two halves then why not 3.75€ each? I understand a mark up if I only got one half but why the price listed for a whole sandwich if that's not what I will be charged? Otherwise, the food was good and atmosphere pleasant but the pricing seems...
