Baco is a beautiful surprise, they deliver amazing flavours in their dishes, with attention to service and a perfect brunch atmosphere. You are greeted with a smile and leave you even with a bigger one. The place is surprisingly quiet. For a small indoor place you can barely hear the coffee machine and all their work is smooth, which is perfect if you want a relaxed morning, so a really positive note! We ordered pastrami, salmon toast, rooibos tea and late to start. All delicious choices, my only critique was the poached egg that was cold, it really made the toast not as wonderful as it could be. The pastrami is superb and I would say all you need in your stomach. The tea and coffee on the right note, helped us with the next: cheesecake and cinnamon bun. Delightful both, fresh and strong cinnamon as it should be! Overall I'm extremely happy we will come back since it is not that far and they are amazing, we like to support independent coffee places and they deserve this. PS1: is pet friendly, so bring your dog and have a chill brunch.. PS2: Next time I'll order a croissant with bacon and egg, it looked marvellous in the...
Read moreBago Coffee Lab is truly a special gem, one of those rare places that lingers in your memory and makes you dream of returning. This café beautifully preserves the essence of Porto's charming establishments from a decade ago, creating an experience that feels wonderfully nostalgic yet fresh. Stepping inside feels like visiting the home of a dear friend—warm, inviting and instantly comforting. The staff work with genuine love and purpose, their passion evident in every interaction. The menu is a delightful surprise, offering homemade quality that elevates simple café fare to something extraordinary. This has become my first choice for meaningful catch-ups with friends or a productive afternoon with my laptop. In a world of increasingly impersonal café chains, Bago Coffee Lab stands out as a sanctuary of authenticity and connection—a place where both excellent coffee and human warmth flow in...
Read moreSuch a great off the beaten path find. We stayed in Porto for 3 weeks and came here every morning for over 2 weeks after we discovered it. Their espresso is mild, tasty and smooth and their food is delicious. What they lack in options they make up in quality and taste. Don't skip the croissant by itself or croissant sandwich if you're hungry. I do regret not going back until our last night to try their pastrami for dinner. In talking to one of the owners, it's smoked and made daily and super delicious.
We loved the relaxing atmosphere at Baco, and I think the staff is what really took it to the next level. They were all so friendly and went above and beyond with our young kids (4 and 7 years old). This was our favorite cafe during our 6 weeks of...
