I am a usual customer of Curb.
Today we ordered a burger as usual; the burger itself was great, and so were the fries. but the package arrived with a super strong smell of soap/ wax. The smell is coming from the “CURB”-branded white and red paper around the burgers. The smell is so strong that I had to re-wrap the 4 burgers for our family to eat them, all of them smelled of this. Photo of the paper with the smell.
We will buy again, but please check it and fix this. Hopefully next time we’re back to 5*!
response to the the restaurants reply ratings are there for a reason. if we only write positive reviews you have no incentive to improve. I have done countless ratings of curb burgers, both here with another account, as this is my business profile, and in online platforms. you don't offer a phone number or email on your website or google maps which was my first idea. asking a customer to go in person to the restaurant is a joke. I submitted the feedback on Bolt Food, but that's for Bolt, no idea where that goes. a business that I love (curb) must be the best. the paper problem was not such a one-off in my opinion; I ordered 4 burgers, all had the problem; at least one friend who also had a Curb burger that day (our group has many fans) had the same problem and asked for a full refund from Bolt Food, which he got. This it's terrible and you should immediately inspect the whole batch for more problems. I am puzzled that no one in the kitchen noticed, the smell is super strong of soap or detergent or wax or...
Read moreHorrible experience. After all it took to properly locate this place including the 20 minute walk to their closed former location and the 5 € Uber ride to finally get there, I got a raw burger. Not just pink inside, raw!
This is their standard which is odd. By default they serve medium rare burgers. A good burger joint will ask you how you want your burger. Not put the cooking standard in the smallest print nor train staff to notify customers. I had no idea. The font is truly too small on a half page printed menu.
Since they only offer take out right now, I had to take my burger away only to find out it was too raw.
I came back (another 5€ ride) and the employee wasn't sympathetic. Actually she challenged me that I should have seen the tiny print about how the burgers are cooked.
They offered to remake the meal but I just left instead. Bad taste in my mouth. The customer isn't always right but you need bifocals to see the small print mentioning cooking standards.
My fries were ice cold at the point and they obviously weren't gonna replace those too.
Spent over 30€ with rides, food included.
Save yourself the time and trouble. Just go to Holy Sandwich Shop instead. No...
Read moreThe burgers are marvelous. However, the delivery experience was a disgrace. I ordered through the app at 19:39, and the burgers were ready by 20:01. The courier only picked up the order at 20:26, and the delivery was completed at 20:38, which, to be honest, seemed quite reasonable. I had anticipated that, given the 25-minute delay in pickup, new burgers would be prepared, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case. The burgers arrived freezing and completely tasteless.
I reminisce about the days when I could call Curb to place my order, and they would only start preparing it when I physically arrived at the restaurant. Despite privately complaining to the restaurant about this issue and being dismissed, I decided to give it another chance, hoping the first experience was an isolated incident. Unfortunately, it wasn't. My overall rating for customer attention and delivery service is 0. I am genuinely upset that the fantastic hamburgers are overshadowed by this flawed delivery strategy. I've reached my limit. If you desire great burgers, I recommend picking them up yourself. Don't rely on the delivery service, and don't expect the restaurant to learn from...
