I hesitate to write this stellar review because I don't want this amazing gem of a restaurant to be found, but EVERYONE needs to find it! This amazing sushi restaurant has only been open for a month. My husband and I were looking for a nice place to enjoy sushi on a Sunday night. I found this restaurant, and made a reservation.
When we arrived, I knew we had picked a winner. Because this restaurant is new, there weren't many people (I was secretly very excited) and our waiter Mohammed was a wonderful help to us.
He spoke wonderful English and instructed us how to use the tablet to order our food. He was very friendly and we had wonderful conversation with him.
The interior of this restaurant is modern and very inviting. It's clean and perfect for a nice dinner or lunch. I loved the design of it. After ordering our food, the food came out very quickly and was presented beautifully. The attention to detail was astounding. The head sushi chef is truly an artist!
We tried a number of different dishes!
My favorites: shrimp tempura (heavenly), spring rolls, mushroom skewer, broccoli skewer, the grilled shrimp skewer, the breaded salmon with noodles, and all the sushi! Mohammed also made us a delicious sangria and took the time to ensure that everything was to our liking.
Katerina was also very helpful and even recommended a stronger wasabi that was definitely STRONG, but added a wonderful spice to our food. She was very friendly :)
The restaurant has an all you can order lunch/buffet option but also a la carte options too. Do yourself a favor and go here now! You will not be disappointed! I am already planning when I will go...
Read moreIt’s quite good, however I had an unpleasant situation as a first customer. If you sit in a table all the people are obligated to have “all you can eat/rodízio” option, otherwise if you want just the “menu of the day” and other people who are with you want “all you can eat” is not possible. You are obligated to have all the same option. When my friend arrived no one explained that to her and we were all obligated to have the “all you can eat” option, after a long argument the only solution offered was for us to sit in separate tables. They claim they have it in big letters upon entrance and in the tablet from where you order but that’s misleading for first time customers and they didn’t recognized they have made a mistake by not advising us in advance. It was a Sunday lunch and all we wanted to do was have our lunch in peace without any inconvenience but it was a very unpleasant start. One of us who did not had appetite for “all you can eat” had to choose the option. Apart from this the food is fresh and made with care, good quality for this price range and the options available in Porto. I did not eat any fried options so can’t...
Read moreAwful experience. Firstly gave us the wrong drink, which is fine. The portions are pretty awful.. the nigiri’s are as thin as my pinky finger, the karagee chicken is so greasy and it looked microwaved. Now let’s get to the actual problem, at the start, the starters were coming out fast, everything was ok, the tempura and veggie rolls were good, after eating some starters we ordered sushi, waited 40 minutes didnt get anything at all, after 40 minutes they bring us 5 sad pieces of salmon sashimi, they were slightly brown and dull in colour, dry and smelled really fishy (not good at all), we also complained that we were now in the restaurant for over an hour and didn’t have a single piece of sushi even though we ordered over 4 different rolls (all in different time frames). Once we complained some of the sushi came out, even though we were still missing pieces, honestly by this point we just wanted to leave. Not sure if the Ipad wasn’t sending tickets to the kitchen but i was truly so disappointed. Not worth the money, will not be...
