We first wanted to eat at the location near the coliseum, but it was fully booked. Fortunately, they had a driver (Sergio, who was very friendly and ready to give us some tips to enjoy our night in Porto) available that drove us to this location free of charge so that we could eat at the Brasão chain. The staff was incredibly nice and always making sure that everything was perfect. The food was very delicious and it arrived very fast which surprised us, since they had a full house. Their portions are quite generous. I've eaten my fair share of francesinhas in my life, and I definitely recommend theirs. Their sangria is very refreshing and sweet. The deserts, however, are definitely something else. Very creative and, most importantly, tasty. Their twist on the pastel de nata is definitely worth trying. I definitely recommend coming here and enjoying their food and service, which were...

Nice ambience and very friendly staff, however considering this is a restaurant, food quality should be the top priority which was somewhat lacking 😕 the ordered beef with onion sauce was very savory, but the accompaniments were subpar: overcooked sliced potatoes to the point of almost unedibles and the salad a mere sample - this was the extension of the accompaniments.

For dessert I asked for a lemon pie, of which nothing resembled or tasted pie-like: it was nothing more than a weak attempt at an again overcooked meringue-like cover with lemon flavored hail inside a few sprinkles of crushed cookie underneath - totally disappointing.

The only reasons I don't give it less rating is due to the above-mentioned good ambience and friendly staff.

If you're thinking of going there for the food, don't.. it's...

Being one of the best reviewed restaurants in the area, we booked a table at Brasao for after the FC Porto match. The staff were incredibly responsive to my email request and assisted in booking a table for the suitable time - we were grateful for this as there was a queue outside the door when we arrived. The bread and nibbles were the perfect way to start before we enjoyed the Traditional Francestira dish (with side of fries) and Grilled Pork ribs in wine sauce. All dishes were piping hot, very flavoursome and delicious - all come recommended. The bill (including 5 large beers) came to €25 which was great value considering the quality of food and proximity to the stadium. If you are visiting for an FC Porto game, this is a great place to...
