I came for the famous lime cake and it lived up to the expectations! Maria's Lime Cake is something every traveler coming to Porto must try! It has the perfect blend of sweetness and citrus. The 5 star rating is for the cake. The place inside is very small, luckily we came during their down time, so there were plenty of seats available. As for the coffee, we got a cappuccino and personally it wasn't for my taste buds. It was very bitter... but the cakes, you must try!

Discovered this hidden gem in our last day in Porto. A champion of a guy called Nuno served us - he speaks perfect English and was kind enough to explain/translate the menu for us. We got some eggs with toast before trying the cakes baked by Maria. Of course the cakes are very good and worth trying, but don’t sleep on the eggs! This little gem will make you feel at home.
