Casa Rocha — Restaurant in Porto

This was probably the best meal my family and I had in our holiday in Porto. A wonderful lunch after spending morning exploring the beach in the sea side town of Foz.

Food was very good despite the low profile look of this cafe/restaurant located just off the main road which runs along the beach. What made this place stand out was the excellent service of the management and serving staff. There was small misunderstanding because we wanted some salad to go with our meal and probably did not make it clear during our order. Service recovery was excellent when serving staff realise we wanted salad in addition to the mains we ordered. We received a free bowl of salad on the house.

We ordered from the lunch set menu which included soups, mains and a desert. All were good but were really surprised by how good the deserts were.

Our visit to Casa Rocha – Comes e Bees was a truly pleasant experience, made even better by the genuine care and attentiveness of the staff. The atmosphere leans more toward romantic than family-style—cozy, calm, and ideal for a relaxed evening out.

What really stood out for us was the restaurant’s willingness to accommodate our ketogenic lifestyle. The kitchen happily adapted the dishes so we could enjoy a full, satisfying meal without compromising our diet—something that’s not always easy to find.

We decided to come here because other reviews said that this place was pretty local and had good value authentic food! They were right! Packed with local Portuguese workers having a meal.

They had different dishes you could order as a set menu for the day for 9 euros which is pretty worth it! The servers knew english so they read the menu options for us.

I got the veal (which came with potatoes$ and my friend got the sardines (with beans and rice). Personally not the most outstanding main dish but the generous portion for the veal, the olives and bread which were instantly provided, this fish-cheese croquette thing (really yummy) was perfect for the cold and rainy...
