Churrasqueira do Marquês — Restaurant in Porto

Excellent service and tasty freshly prepared & home cooked, traditional Porto cuisine. It's no thrills and outdated in decoration and appearance but you can see the chef grilling the meat and the cooks from the open plan dinning area, The waitresses are excellent they smile, they are attentive and service is good as a result. The food and drink are excellent value for money and the portions were large.

Best to come when you're really hungry ! I wasn't, so I ordered the home-made vegetable soup which was great. And the cheese omelette & homemade chips ( I'm sure they were made with pigs fat as they tasted real good !) which was way too much !

I will definitely return on my next stay at...

We went here more than 3 times to have lunch and dinner in Porto. They serve traditional Portuguese food where the prices are affordable with a good portion. I recommend this restaurant if you are near the Marquês area.

Pros Entrance accessible for wheelchairs. Free wifi but a little bit slow. Free restroom. Nice and friendly staff during the service. Fast service and very attentive. Read good review hence decided to have our lunch there. Patronised by locals and was quite crowded. We ordered soup, codfish braga and grilled pork ribs. Strongly recommend to try the grilled pork ribs... Ordered 1/2 portion and were just good for 4 of us. Staff was very patient with us as she doesn't understand English we were trying to communicate with her via Google...
