Pregos & Martelo — Restaurant in Porto

Random selection from my nearby airbnb stay. It's always joy of travel for finding a good place by a random selection. The food I ordered was all fresh, but their potato fry was amazing. The best potato fry I've ever tried. I sometimes don't prefer potatoes due to its thick content, but the server strongly recommended (also could be included in the meal without extra charge) so I was attracted to try little bit. They fried so precisely and the crispiness was perfect into the middle of potatoes with well saturated salts. Many times it could be crispy outside and still thick inside and salt is applied just anyway, but they made it with perfection. Their orange juice and salad and prego were all fresh. I really complimented their food to the server, and she also convinced me for deserts. Because the main food was so fresh, I gave another trial. Also their tiramisu was pretty fresh. She offered me a liquor their restaurant made and not for sale. It went well with the tiramisu because little greasy content of tiramisu was cleaned out with the honey, lemon, and cinnamon combined liquor. It was just a happy episode...

This restaurant was probably the biggest surprise I have had in Porto. At first i thought it was more of a fast food restaurant. But I was wrong. The menu is simple but this was sooooooo good! We all took a steak with one of their sauces and it was just stunningly good! The mostard sauce was exceptional! The second surprise was the desserts: fresh, light, tasty, just perfect! Serviço demorado, tamanho da comida é miniatura, preços desproporcionais à comida apresentada, tudo acompanhado com um bom toque de arrogância e má educação. Hoje ao almoço foi pedido arroz como acompanhamento, pelo que a dona do restaurante refere “já não ter”. Após 10 minutos de afirmar o mesmo, serve três pratos de arroz a outra mesa! Após chamar a dona à parte e questionar o sucedido, com todo o respeito, a senhora responde “antes não tinha, mas agora já tenho”, ao qual foi respondido que poderíamos ter aguardado pela confecção do mesmo. Após referir diversas palavras tristes foi questionado o porquê de nos tentar enganar, respondendo: “não tinha quando chegaram mas fiz mais agora para outros clientes”. A mesma prossegue a referir palavras desadequadas. Após terminar a conversa, a mesma prossegue a atender-nos referindo “se não quer perceber, então não perceba”. Esta mesma crítica ficou descrita em livro de reclamações. Ainda nos diz “mas escrevam isso direitinho”. Não recomendo o restaurante a ninguém, não só pela falta de qualidade como atendimento lastimável!
