We stayed in this hotel from 22/04 to 25/04, from the beginning they didn’t explain everything right, they forget to explain how and when we were able to use the “complementary drinks” we stopped by the bar the second day and the bartender was like oh we’re closed, but she can’t even explain the reason why? Instead she could be nicer and tell us that we can only get the complimentary drinks only from certain hours but she just said bar it’s closed. Our last night which it was April 24th we were out the all day and we tried to come early that night so that way we can get our complimentary drink but oh surprised when o came to our room which it was 3108 as soon as I open the door all my stuff were gone and the room was flooded. We never got reached out, they said they tried but at least we should be getting a text, e-mail or voice mail that we should stop by front desk because it was an incident going on in the hotel or something but we didn’t get any notice, they don’t even blocked our key to open the door, so it wasn’t a pleasant way to find out that our room was flooded and our personal stuff were gone, I can’t understand that it wasn’t their fault but at least I feel we should get notice by the manager at least even we were on vacation I feel it was a situation that we should know, specially because our stuff, documents, passports, etc were there. It was such a bad experience and ruin our last night. Not a grateful experience, specially in our last night, they could be better specially since it’s not a cheap place and apparently has...
Read moreI stay for 3 nights at the property, and the second day after leaving the hotel at 9am to visit Porto and spend the day outside, we came back around 6:45 pm to get some drinks at the bar. Because we got 2 free drinks went we check in (the drinks are only good for 11am to 7pm but they didn’t tell us at the check in we got notified by the bartender the day before after going at 8pm ) I open the room door and all my clothes, bags , money , passport, etc were gone with out notification or my permission . I went to front desk and talk to the general manager to tell me that they call me . But I didn’t have a call or a email for then . It was two different phone numbers and email address and they didn’t contact anyone. I have to call the police the help me and make a report because I wanted to make sure that my documents and my money was not stolen. The general manager Barbara didn’t know what to do and offer free drinks and breakfast for the last night. Thinking that will result the problem and I will forget the fact that they move and touch my clothes, money , and documents . Never in my life I have this problem and I book all my trip with time and reading comments before booking. The next day the general manager sent me a email apologizing but didn’t have the professionalism or the courage to apologize on person . Really disappointed with the lack of communication, service and respect from the staff. I will never recommend this properly and can assure you that are better places in Porto to stay and with better facilities and...
Read moreDo not stay here. The security is lacking in every way! The hotel is in an unsafe neighborhood and they just leave the gate open for anyone to walk in. Yesterday, we were robbed of thousands of dollars of clothing, Gucci, sunglasses, and a Computer. Someone was able to access our room while we were visiting the wine country. We came back to find everything we had purchased on our trip stolen. Worse, there is no manager on duty, and I still have not been contacted by anyone from the hotel. The staff is very kind, but they should not have to deal with hotel theft as they are just employees and not managers. Clearly the hotel is not professionally run. They don’t even have a system in place if there is a theft to create a report like every reliable hotel does. They also don’t have any cameras in the halls. We will never know who stole our stuff, but I would forgive them if I thought anyone even cared, but clearly they don’t. These are pictures. I took this morning around the front of the hotel.
Update: I was never personally contacted by the hotel other than an accusatory email saying that I left the door to our room open. In order to leave the door open, a person would have to prop it open with a chair. It’s one of those really heavy doors that slams shut and locks. The theft was most likely an inside job in my opinion, although I’m not an expert, but someone got into our room and stole thousands of dollars of items. We were just left out in the cold with no help...
