Douro Sky Lounge — Restaurant in Porto

We had a reservation here a few days ago which we had booked long in advance. When we arrived we were first asked did we have a reservation to which of course we did, We were then made to wait another few minutes for a different employee to inform us that the rooftop was closed. If there is even a hint of rain don't bother showing up, nobody tried to contact us and even when we arrived they were unprofessional. We went 10 minutes down the road to the NEYA hotel whose rooftop was indeed open and were instantly more friendly and professional than the sky lounge employees. Oh and guess what? it didn't rain for the next 6...

Terrace has a nice view and relaxed feel. Unfortunately, service was not up to expectations for us. After being seated, we waited for 15 minutes for a menu and eventually went to ask the waiters at the bar for one. The food was quite bland. At one point, the waitress took the cutlery from the first course to replace it and never came back with other cutlery. We had to grab a set from another empty table instead :) Music choice could be improved for dinner, as it was loud house music. Overall the place has potential but service was slow and at times...

This place! What an amazing spot! A real hidden gem! I can't say enough about it. It's a bit outside of Porto center, but wow.

The hotel itself is so cool. When you get in -- the art nouveau and Bauhaus style is evident. It's very impressive and cool.

Then, going upstairs.. the rooftop is so cool. It's relaxed. Not too touristy. Locals, tourists, it's a nice mix. Great music. Cocktails are generous. And the VIEW! It has one of the best views of the sunset you can find. Way better than further upstream. I'd recommend it to everyone....
