This is the worst thing we saw in Porto. It's really hard to get there so we took a taxi because my 7 years old daughter is in love with astronomy. It was first time she went from an exhibition crying. Lady in ticket sale told us that entrance is free but if we want to see the movie then it would cost 12 euro per person. I agreed because of the daughter. The lady told me that the movie is only at 4pm. We were there at 12am. The exhibition took about 5 minutes. This place should not be named planetarium. If I could give zero stars then I would do it. It's a scam on turist.
ANSWER TO THE REPLY: The lady in the ticket sale told us that the entrance is 12 euro. She DID NOT say family ticket. It does not matter. I would pay 12 per person without hesitation if it were worth it. Your website is ONLY in portugese. When I visit an exhibition I want to see exhibition - not café. Sorry. Your blackhole simulator looks like a broken slot-machine. The models of the planet sizes were OK, but as visitor you expect more. I believe the planet movie is nice, but as english speaking visitor without any information from your site, the information that you have shows only at 16pm is a big disappointment. At least when you visit at 12 am. The walk from Casa Musica metro takes up to 30 minutes, with children maybe more. Well why can't readers of planetario reviews find any interesting photos made by visitors? Because there is nothing...
Read moreAbsolutely abysmal. I was really looking forward to visiting the Planetarium during my trip to Porto, but it turned out to be a huge disappointment. The so-called gift shop was empty, dusty, and full of rubbish. The café was closed, the displays were poorly maintained, and the only show available at the time was aimed solely at children.
They urgently need to make it clear on their website and social media that there is no functioning gift shop or café. The whole place felt abandoned, dusty, and neglected — a very poor reflection of the great...
Read moreI really didn’t enjoy Porto Planetarium. The place is very small and felt quite boring, especially for kids. When we visited, it was also full of dust, which made it less appealing. The movie seems to be the main attraction, but since the kids weren’t interested, we didn’t pay for it and ended up entering for free.
Unfortunately, it didn’t offer much beyond that, and overall, it didn’t live up to expectations. I doubt we’ll return. There are definitely better things to...
