This is a very local cafe and bar located adjacent to the Douro River set back from the tram tracks. There are tables outside under the trees. It is a simple place with neighborhood people gathering to catch up on the news or debate the issues. Most people are drinking a café or a Fino (small beer), usually from a bottle. The locals crowd around the door and the very small indoor area and the tourists sit at the tables. It is a great spot for a late afternoon beer in the shade of the trees. Read moreThe location is perfect, just a little bit away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist part of the river shore, the outdoor terrace offers a lot of space to enjoy the view of the river under the sun (if you are lucky with the weather of course). I especially appreciated the excellent service and friendly welcome from the waiter and the owner. Prices are extremely fair and you could say they are local prices as most of the customers there are locals, not tourists.
