Eatery 119 ӏ food, desserts & specialty coffee — Restaurant in Porto

We had breakfast at Eatery 119 on our final full day in Porto before flying homewards. The menu offers more familiar breakfast options alongside Ukrainian dishes like crepes with sweetened cottage cheese and sour cream; dumplings with sour cream & caramelized onions; chicken kiev with peas & mashed potaties; and a lovely selection of pan-European desserts. The restaurant space is modern and minimalistic with plenty of space to move around. The service is wonderful and our server, Rusik, was friendly and caring. The food was excellent: we had potato & mushroom dumplings; chicken kiev, and crepes with Amercano (the coffee was really different with a bright, acidic finish because of the use of Arabica and Columbian coffee beans). It was a beautiful meal and a lovely way to start our last day during this trip to Portugal. We hope to return....

Eatery 119 is an amazing brunch spot nestled in the heart of Porto. Conveniently located on a quiet (on a Sunday morning at least) street near the city hall, it offers specialty coffee and a wide variety of brunch options at very reasonable prices, especially considering the quality of the food and its central location.

While it features all the classic brunch options (like toasts, salmon, and avocado) what truly sets it apart is the infusion of Ukrainian flavors throughout the menu, with highlights such as dumplings and Kyiv cake. This unique twist makes it a must-visit, whether you’re a local or a tourist.

Absolutely delightful experience! I've visited this place several times and tried a variety of dishes, from traditional mains like Chicken Kyiv to different types of varenyky: with cherries, potatoes and mushrooms, and meat. Each dish was freshly made and full of authentic Ukrainian flavor.

The desserts deserve a special mention - I've tasted almost every cake they offer, and the Red Velvet and Kyiv Cake were simply outstanding!

The staff was incredibly welcoming and kind, creating a cozy and friendly atmosphere that truly reflects the spirit of Ukrainian hospitality right here in Portugal.
