I visited the cafe earlier this week and tried the traditional Portuguese cake! I don’t remember the name, but it was similar to a sticky toffee pudding.

I was recommended to try their brownies as they had been awarded “best brownie in porto” by the Time Out collective.

I bake and sell brownies on a small scale at home, so I always love comparing brownies to mine. These are the first ones, which taste just like mine! Safe to say, I loved them. Soft, gooey, chocolatey, and slightly warm; just as they should be.

I also tried their pão de queijo, the cheese tasted different to what I am used to.

Lastly I had a “Queijadinha de limão” lemon cheesecake, mine was served from the fridge and was really nice, but I imagine it would be even nicer if it was warmed slightly.

To drink I had a spiced pumpkin latte, very autumnal great for those who like a...

My favorite cake shop here in Porto! Everything is made with quality ingredients and you can really taste the difference. The shop changes different cakes everyday. Make sure you ask the chef Jorge about the cakes he has for the day. Jorge is super friendly and he speaks Portuguese and perfect English.

The cakes are always moist and just the right amount of sweetness. I always like to get a special beer to go with my cake. It is a must try if you like a good quality cake! And definitely need to try their Time-Out Magazine 5...

Warning : This is not a "come in and eat cake" any more. The business model changed in July 2019 and it no longer serves cakes. It works with orders and not as a tradicional café. Despite the good reviews, you need to go somewhere else to eat cake and chill.

A pastelaria estava fechada, mas o Facebook indicou-me nova morada.

We had to catch a train but stopped here for a quick coffee and a vegetarian quiche. Ended up also having a little dessert. It is a wonderful little spot and Jorge is the best! While we were there we got to see him making a cake and the dude was putting on a masterclass! Great spot to stop in for a quick nibble (and the coffee was quite good as well).

It’s a great place to have some real cake. There’s a lot of different flavors. And also there’s savory dishes. They staff is really nice and friendly 🫶🏽🥹 And they can speak English really well. It’s a suitable place for vegetarians.
