I visited the cafe earlier this week and tried the traditional Portuguese cake! I don’t remember the name, but it was similar to a sticky toffee pudding.
I was recommended to try their brownies as they had been awarded “best brownie in porto” by the Time Out collective.
I bake and sell brownies on a small scale at home, so I always love comparing brownies to mine. These are the first ones, which taste just like mine! Safe to say, I loved them. Soft, gooey, chocolatey, and slightly warm; just as they should be.
I also tried their pão de queijo, the cheese tasted different to what I am used to.
Lastly I had a “Queijadinha de limão” lemon cheesecake, mine was served from the fridge and was really nice, but I imagine it would be even nicer if it was warmed slightly.

Read moreMy favorite cake shop here in Porto! Everything is made with quality ingredients and you can really taste the difference. The shop changes different cakes everyday. Make sure you ask the chef Jorge about the cakes he has for the day. Jorge is super friendly and he speaks Portuguese and perfect English.

Não tem a ver com a qualidade dos bolos. A descida do rating, foi por causa da resposta do Jorge. Os bolos são fabulosos. A pessoa, para mim,...
