We were 4 people. I ordered 2 oven-roasted lamb dishes and 2 "Bacalhau à Braga" (daily menus) + 2 chicken broths and 2 vegetable soups. It was the worst restaurant I’ve ever eaten at. The nauseating smell of frying, typical of oil reused for several months, should have been a clear warning not to sit down and eat. The oven-roasted lamb dish had 3 tiny pieces of meat with a greenish color, poorly cooked, possibly rotten, and with a very strange animal taste. I couldn’t eat the rice or the potatoes either, as it was clear that all the food was cooked in the same disgusting oil used for months. The food served must have been leftovers from another customer the day before, as underneath my rice was a bone with no meat, much to my astonishment. The salad had the taste of stale seasoning (old vinegar) from several days ago. In other words, it was evident that nothing served on the plates was fresh. But the problem was that it was already several days old—just leftovers reused from other dishes. As for the "Bacalhau à Braga," it was dry, had a bad smell, and tasted terrible. The sliced potatoes accompanying the cod were soaked in rancid oil that had been reused for months. I truly don’t understand how the place was full. The vegetable soup had a slimy and sour taste, meaning it was also old. The price doesn’t justify the filth we were served. The waitress even responded, “for the price, that’s what you get.” The service provided is a serious case of public health risk. I felt nauseated and wanted to vomit. I don’t remember ever leaving almost all the food...
Read moreWe ate in this restaurant this afternoon for lunch. The price is attracted us to sit and eat there. It cost €6 (a soup, the main food, drink, bread), you need to pay €1 for the dessert.
It seemed like extremely cheap for €6, but not after the food served. I ordered filete pescada with high expectation since I ate the same food but in other restaurant last Saturday. The soup is just ok. We ordered a chicken soup with noodle. The drink is ok. I took Coca Cola zero sugar. The fillets pescada is disappointing. It only came with 2 small slices. The salad and rice are ok. I spent €4.49 last Saturday in other restaurant eat the same food, the food came with 4 big fillets pescada. The difference is just free soup and drink. My partner ordered a grilled fish and it came with a small part of a fish, the salad was ok, the potato chips are too little. I learnt that it does not worth to eat €6. It is better to buy food, soup, drink in separate price.
The restaurant is located behind Ibis Hotel. It is easy to recognize. They only have indoor seating. The place is not so big, even the worker is a bit difficult to pass to deliver some food. They provide so many tables and only a small space between each table.
The kitchen is right near customers' table. We can see easily what they are doing. They have a small toilet too, which is good, but too close with the eating place.
It is better to go to the other restaurant nearby, you will pay €5 with better food and buy the drink or...
