TLDR ; AVOID at all costs.
I feel like the 5 star reviews here are fake! My and my friend came in, on a Tuesday night by the way - it took 10 minutes before we could order. Fine. We waited 25 minutes for our food before we asked the waiter when it would come. They said it was busy, another 15 mins. No apology, no we’ll bring you a starter in the meanwhile. Alright, we will wait.
Fine. Another TWENTY FIVE (over 50 mins now) minutes later, WE ASK, not them tell us, that it would be another 15 minutes for our food. This was ridiculous. At the very least they could let us know how long it would take at the beginning of it!! Or at least be honest the second time around? Well over an hour for ramen, which just takes assembly.
All the while, there were many others who were waiting just as long as we were.
And the best part - they were still accepting more and more customers. If they cannot accommodate customers, restrict the number of customers. Or at least be honest, not keep customers waiting for OVER AN HOUR.
Don’t be fooled by the 5 star reviews. Avoid at all costs.
We were fuming, and left. By the time we left most restaurants were closed...
Read moreReally disappointing experience at Ramen Shifu in Porto. We waited over 45 minutes for our food. About 30 minutes in, a staff member came over to say it would be another 15 minutes. When we asked again, they then said another 10 minutes. No process, no apologies, and no effort to make up for it.
By this point it was already 9 PM, and we were left waiting until nearly 10 PM on a Tuesday night when we had work the next day. There was no open communication or transparency about the delay, just constant pushing back of the wait time.
Overall, very poor service and a super disappointing experience. Definitely would not recommend this restaurant. There are plenty of other great ramen spots in Porto, so stay away...
Read moreI don't usually write reviews, but after this experience, I feel compelled to warn other guests about this place! We stopped by spontaneously on a Sunday evening and ordered vegetarian gyoza and two tan-tan ramen. Although the restaurant was quite empty, we had to wait over 45 Minuten for our food. When we asked several times, we werde only met with a questioning look. The food was basically okay, but we got stomach aches and diarrhea the following night and the next morning. We caught a nasty case of food poisoning at this place, which has been haunting us ever since on our vacation. Conclusion: poor service, poor food, never again! I advise everyone to steer clear of...
