Casa Isa — Restaurant in Porto

I was a little intimidated walking in as a non-Portuguese person but was served just fine with an English menu and the food was really good and affordable. Dish recommended for the day was fried hake filet with russian salad (basically potato salad) and the hake was super fresh and tender. (Only €6 too)

The couvert on my table turned out to be €6.50, so more than the entree. I guess I didn’t understand that you could choose which parts to eat and be charged for (there were several cheeses/bread and I sampled them all, assuming it was all or nothing, and took the unfinished parts home. I loved the friendly welcome and help despite my luck of Portuguese! They addressed me to some stew and I loved it. Got some takeaway food as portion was big and i couldn't eat anymore! Had some de la casa wine and was very good too! Bread was fresh and tasty. Bill was super cheap less than 13€. Recommended. Home like food 🙂 I'm Italian and fussy. Tomorrow I'll check...

Infelizmente eu e minha família perdemos a vontade de comer no local, ao tentar esclarecer uma dúvida com um empregado de mesa, se o prato vem com acompanhamento e qual acompanhamento, o funcionário me respondeu "CLARO QUE VEM, AQUI É PORTUGAL NÃO É O BRASIL, AQUI SE COME E SE COME BEM", além da postura em seu atendimento querendo me enfrentar como se quisesse confusão. Ao sair do estabelecimento, um outro sr. tentou nos acolher, pedindo para ficarmos no restaurante, agradeci o mesmo, porém informei que devido ao tratamento daquele colaborador anterior não ficaríamos no restaurante.
