YOAM - Asian food & drinks — Restaurant in Porto

We were really looking forward to eat korean fried chicken. The place looks good, everyone is friendly and also they had boba soft cushions. We ordered vegetable summer roll, Korean fried chicken, veg baguette with spring roll and mango fruit juice with tapioca pearls

The Korean fried chicken had bit off taste - it was pleasing at first but once it got cold it tasted like rubber and also it was very sweet. First time eating kfc this sweet. Usually it has perfect balance of sweet and spicy but something was off.

The summer roll tasted really fresh - the peanut and brown sugar sauce was delicious.

The baguette was okaish as it was very oily after the takeout . The filling of baguette had fried spring roll with some vermicelli and some veggie I wish it had some acidity and also sauce. It was very dry from inside with less flavour

The fruit juice had too much ice in it. It tasted okay! I am huge fan of these teas and juice with boba in it but this kinda disappointed me.

After trying out every bubble tea place in Porto me and my friend decided Yoam was in our Top 2 since the drinks taste great and the tapioca is well cooked and tasty too. Overall when comparing the quality and price relation of the two places we decided this would be our go to place for boba and we've come for drinks often ever since then. Occasionally I've asked for the korean corn dog and have throughly enjoyed it. Didn't rate the food higher since all I've tried was some milk teas and the corn dogs but from what I've seen on other tables the food looks really good!! It's true that currently the staff doesn't speak Portuguese fluently but they're always kind and attentive and even when there was an issue with my drink they replaced it right away! Recently K-Pop related events have taken place here and although I have yet to visit in those occasions it seemed like it was a good experience for the people that did show up!! It'll be interesting to see how those events progress...

The summer roll came out first and it tasted fresh - the sauce was delicious.

The banh mi was okay. The baguette was fresh, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, however, I wish it has more of the pickled carrot/cucumber. I wish it didn’t have the fried shallot in it (it is distracting and takes away of the freshness of the food).

The black sugar Pearl fresh milk that unordered with less ice came with so much ice in it. It was so much, by the time I finished my drink at the end of my meal, it still has over half cup of ice.
