Taberna do Largo — Restaurant in Setúbal

NOTE TO THE OWNER: We live in Setubal and have eaten at Taberna do Largo a few times before. Nothing spectacular but nothing so terrible to warrant writing a review....until now. In this case, we were a group of 5 adults wanting a few drinks at 9:40pm on a Monday evening (26.09), and the hostess informed us that we could not be seated unless we ordered food. We looked around at the 15+ empty tables outside and said 'really, the place is empty?' She was very rude in her reply, and we promptly left and sat literally less than 2 meters away at the neighboring place. This experience was enough to ensure we will never return to Taberna do Largo, nor will we recommend this place to others. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Restaurante Taberna do Largo in Setúbal, and it was an experience to remember. Service was friendly, ambience was nice but we were very disappointed by our meals. I had a Steak 400, fries were cold and dry, meat was more on the rare side and pretty cold too, also a bit chewy.
