La Bella – Restaurante Italiano, Lda. — Restaurant in Tomar

Unfortunately the place should not call itself italian restaurant. I ordered tortellini with cheese sauce. Even tough sauce was good, it seems like I eat sauce with pasta. Tortellini did not have almost filling. For me it tasted like unfrozen tortellini from the market. Sorry for this comparison, but I could not feel nothing inside (it was supposed to have meat filling). Pizza was ok, nothing special, nothing wrong. Tiramisu was half frozen once served us ;). Finally the decorations inside, it does not feel like welcoming to eat. Walls are grey and there is nothing else. Even tough there is nice outside during the summer. Location of the place is perfect, but I think the team should work on improvements. I am often in Tomar, but I will definitely not be...

Don't know why this place is considered by many reviewers as a pizzeria. It's far more than that. Tonight I had the lasagna and it was amazing! My wife had the Linguini marinara, seafood mix, and she ate the entire huge plate claiming it was the best she's had in years. She said it was the first time she's eaten a seafood marinara where each type of seafood was perfectly cooked, especially the tender shrimp. Unfortunately, I couldn't try it because I'm allergic. A nice Italian restaurant in Tomar. Beautiful terrace. Food is good .Great Italian cuisine but unfortunately service is very very slow . Around 40min..wait before starters arrived and even longer wait before we had our main courses. This should have been easily resolved if they had 1 or two more waiters.
