Rendez-Vous — Restaurant in Vila Real de Santo António

This is definitely not a place I recommend you to have dinner. This is a place to go after you had dinner somewhere nice and want to do a last stop at a nice typical local Fado singing place. That’s the highlight. I don’t even want to mention how bad the food was. However, the Fado singers and ambient was amazing and the service was great and lovely family host. I just really wish they had a real Menu of real food and serve authentic good home made portuguese food. Please, remove those fake calamaris from the Menu which are not Spanish at all and add real food. 🙏

Thank God for the Fado singers 🙌🙏🙌 and the energy of the guests, who made our night experience much better with beautiful, classical and nostalgic life and love tunes. Thank youuuuuuu!

This place is awful. We ordered five different things and each plate just got worse. The food was bland and/or overcooked. The shrimp cocktail was smothered in mayo. The spaghetti bolognese offered nothing. The salad had onions and bananas like a regular salad but with fruit baby food for dressing. The garlic cheese bread wasn’t terrible but it was undercooked. O cheirinho a grelhados atraiu-nos logo para este restaurante. Tem uma pequena esplanada no exterior mas optamos por ir para dentro e ficar mais frescos quando viamos o jogo de Portugal. Os grelhados a carvão não tem muito que enganar e tanto o peixe como o frango assado estavam bons... mas não fantásticos. Seja como for era tudo fresco e a Sra que nos atendeu esforçou-se por nos dar a melhor estadia possível. Por esse motivo era capaz de regressar para experimentar outros pratos. Outro ponto positivo é que o restaurante tem preços acessíveis. Outra coisa que reparei é que tem programas à noite temáticos,
