Al Sayyad — Restaurant in Doha

The restaurant is set up like a tent right by the beach and besides that, there are several fully private rooms with stunning sea views. Inside the main restaurant, there’s an aquarium that perfectly matches the calm, wood-themed interior.

When I said I wanted to see the private rooms, the manager Mr. Vishal kindly took the time despite the heat to show me around and explain everything in detail. Each VVIP room has a unique interior and decor, which makes them really special.

Before the meal, they offered a welcome drink and a warm towel which was a nice touch. I didn’t order any starters but they still brought out pickles and fresh vegetables. I’ve been lacking veggies lately so I really appreciated that.

For the main course, I went with the fish pasta. You can choose from three types of sauces, I picked a mix of white and red. You don’t often see fish pasta on menus in Doha, so as a fish lover, it was perfect for me. The juices are all 100% freshly squeezed. I went for the sugar free option, but the natural sweetness of the fruits really stood out. Super refreshing and tasty!

Big thanks to Mr. Vishal, Alan and the rest of the team for their 5-star hospitality. I heard that in winter, you can dine on the beachside terrace so I’d love to come back...

To celebrate the new year, we booked a private room next to the sea. The view was mind-blowing! The room was very big and had indoor and outdoor dining! The outdoor dining has a fireplace AMAZING! A fullscreen TV inside the room. AC as well. Very comfortable! The staff was friendly, and welcoming and the Moroccan man working there gave us his phone number to call whenever we needed something. The hookah man, who was Egyptian was friendly as well and very talented at making hookah.

The menu was not my favorite, to be honest, most of the food was seafood. However, they make me a special dish “ chicken pasta with white sauce” which I appreciate. They do their best to satisfy their customers!
