To be honest, the restaurant and food quality were very nice. However, the service was disappointing. I booked a table for Friday brunch three days in advance, specifically requesting a direct sea view, as I've been told in the past that those tables are always booked. Despite my request, I was seated at a table in the middle of the restaurant. The staff offered contradictory and illogical justifications, suggesting my request wasn't noted. I considered cancelling, but my family was hungry, so we stayed. Throughout the brunch, from 12:30 PM to 4:00 PM, several sea view tables remained vacant. After brunch, I asked to move to a sea view table to order shisha and tea, but the waiter again told me they were all already reserved. I was surprised, as many tables had been empty for the entire four hours of the brunch, and even after, for an additional hour. The waiter again gave contradictory and illogical justifications that these tables might be occupied in the coming hours, which made no sense to keep the tables vacant for five or six hours. I cancelled my order and left. This was very disappointing and odd. If they make the premium tables with extra charges, this will be acceptable, but this behavior from staff is very weird and gives a very bad indication of discrimination between their guests, and it has negatively impacted my decision to return despite...
Read moreThis place used to be exquisite. The food used to be fantastic, the location is great and the service was great. The last two are still mostly true, but the food is average at best now. But when you factor in the price, it is terrible.
You used to get a selection of delicious, hand baked bread buns as soon as you ordered. Now, you get some horrible cheap, sliced bread, that has clearly been bought from the nearest corner store. Disgusting!
The food itself has lost its quality, it's still OK, but it used to be a true experience. Finally, the coffee used to be outstanding, and for 40 riyals you'd expect it. Now it's just bland, tasteless, coffee you could get in Starbucks - but still costing 40 riyals
Finally, the crockery used to be beautiful, now it's just (again) some cheap, plain alternative.
I don't know what's happened, but it wreaks of someone taking over and deciding to cut costs absolutely everywhere. All the details that made this place special are gone. Such a disappointment. Oh, also the table was filthy was stains all over it.
In no way is it worth the astronomic prices they charge. I would award most placed 3 stars for this quality of food. But at those prices, it's rubbish and doesn't deserve more than one star. I still can't get over the cheap, supermarket sliced bread!...
Read moreVisited for the Wednesday seafood night. Booking process went smoothly and the restaurant messaged me the day before to confirm.
The staff were very welcoming, courteous and helpful. Table was cleared very frequently, the chefs came out and checked on the food. The buffet was replenished frequently all the way till the end of the buffet time, although the restaurant was almost full.
Coming to the food, there a really good variety. Flavors were fresh and not overpowering the seafood. Everything I tried was tender not rubbery or overcooked. The spicy seabass with spinach and cheese gnocchi was just amazing combination. The fish curry was tangy and spicy.
For the price when using coupons, it was an amazing selection and quality of food. The buffet covers everything too, coffee and tea, mocktails, soft drinks and water.
Notes: The desserts looked amazing but were put in the heat under a heat lamp, so it was melted and warm. The flavor was good but it would have been better if cold! The place can get...
