"I am a big fan of sushi, and it's the first time I tried this restaurant with my friend. Our experience with this restaurant was disappointing. From our point of view, the food was lousy, and we won't repeat the experience.
We ordered Miso Soup, a simple soup with seaweed and tofu, but it was diluted, tasteless, and not like the first time I've had it. Compared to other places, it was like boiled water without taste, with huge chunks of tofu and only a few scattered pieces of seaweed. It felt like they just heated up water, similar to making tea, and then threw in the ingredients without letting the flavors infuse properly. I also overheard an employee complaining about having to make the soup again. They didn't even realize they were being overheard while I was going to the bathroom.
Then we ordered the Momiji sushi platter and another sushi set, I can't remember the exact name. Anyway, it was not good at all. I'm a big sushi fan, but I couldn't finish the food because it was so bad at taste . They served sushi with mayonnaise, and the Classic Philadelphia roll wasn't even close to being classic. They didn’t use ripe avocados; they were as hard as a rock! There was one type of sushi that caught my attention, it had an overpowering taste of pond fish, extremely prominent. And please, don't get me wrong, I know sushi has fish, and I love raw fish, but that particular sushi with who-knows-what kind of fish was definitely pond fish... no, no, no. A European-style sushi, fried, with mayonnaise, was nauseating and apparently left surprises for those with a strong stomach the next day, and for those with a weaker stomach, a few hours later.
Even the lemonade had artificial flavors. I know this restaurant; it has always been high-class until yesterday when we realized what a mockery we experienced. Maybe in the past, the restaurant was great, and I would have liked to have a pleasant experience, but what I saw yesterday was a BIG no-no!
I don't want to say how bad I feel today because of their unprofessional sushi! I just want to advise future customers to take care of themselves and thoroughly research reviews. Even at restaurants in upscale and well-known areas, you can no longer trust blindly. Apparently, whether you eat sushi in Dorobanti or in other neighborhoods, it's the same. The only difference is the ammount you pay, but otherwise it’s the same. You pay, you eat, and the surprise is whether you'll feel sick the next day or within a few hours or not. Once considered a good experience based on others' opinions, apparently the quality has drastically declined recently.
UPDATE
My review is about my personal experience at your restaurant. I'm not trying to convince anyone of anything, but to share my own real experience. I have no benefit in tarnishing your reputation without reason. I rarely write reviews, like many others. But here, I felt the need to do so and to tell my "wonderful" experience at your place. It amuses me that you say I wrote "about all the products," which I didn't specify in the text. I mentioned certain products; I don't like this exaggeration. I'm glad you are a respectable restaurant with many orders. However, that doesn't excuse the bad experience I had. The fact that you didn't find my contact in your database is normal. I visited the restaurant in person; I didn't order online. And I won't waste my time writing to the provided email address. I have clearly stated my experience. There is nothing more to say. In fact, I have provided some additional clarifications in this updated text. I think this is sufficient involvement for a restaurant I won't be visiting again. There's no point in trying something that didn't leave me with a good impression. There are so many other places. Don't assume that people want to harm you through bad reviews; it's a form of feedback. There are rarely any restaurants without bad reviews at all. Accept...

The attention to detail in the restaurant's decor is impressive, from the elegant lighting fixtures to the sleek furniture and polished floors. The ambiance is simply perfect for a romantic evening or a night out with friends.

The sushi chefs are clearly skilled in their craft, expertly crafting each roll and sushi piece with precision and care. The freshness and quality of the ingredients are evident in each bite, and the flavors are expertly balanced.
One standout dish is the Kanpai Roll, a signature sushi roll that features shrimp tempura, avocado, and cream cheese, topped with spicy tuna, spicy mayo, and eel sauce. It's a flavor explosion that's simply irresistible.
In addition to sushi, the restaurant also offers a range of other Japanese dishes, including ramen, udon noodles, and teriyaki chicken. Each dish is prepared with the same attention to detail and quality ingredients as the sushi.
The service at Kanpai Sushi is also exceptional, with knowledgeable and attentive waitstaff who are happy to help with recommendations or answer any questions. The restaurant also has a great selection of sake and cocktails, making it the perfect spot for a night out.

Read moreFood was great, atmosphere was nice, service was... Something. The first waiter was a woman and she was very nice, nothing to criticise there. But then, next to our table was seated another group that started ordering much more expensive stuff. Our waiter changed to some other dude too and he didn't pay any attention to us. While constantly visiting the other customers, the waiter kept paying attention to them and didn't even look out way. Also, this restaurant had some kind of promotion where if you leave a review you get a free desert. We all left a review and the guy brought us a singular ice-cream macaroonb with one spoon. And then left. Didn't look our way again until we literally had to raise our hand for him to notice us. I asked him about the dessert and if we we're supposed to share or what? His answer was that he didn't realise we all left a review and that he'll bring the other 2 a dessert too. When he came back he returned with 2 more macaroons with no spoon this time. Tldr; food is good, one of the...
