Yoshi Sushi & Teppanyaki — Restaurant in Bucharest

Rather a disappointing experience: quite good quality of products, but the way the were combined into sushi was rather uninspired, some sushi even lacking any taste. Completely overpriced for the delivery as for less than half of the price, you can find amazing sushi at their competitors on the market. The music definitely needs a change and the service needs to be improved. I don't like being tricked into the type of behaviour we serve you water without asking just to add a 30lei water in the bill, it's not about the money, it's about the way it's done quietly intentional to increase consumption, rather than simply letting the customer decide. Overall, if not for the quality of the products: the rice, the sashimi, the wasabi was very good too, I would have given less stars. Because the food result and taste experience was rather ordinary combined with an overpriced menu and average service, it would be close...

Yoshi sushi is a very nice place, with nice atmosphere and delicious food, for which you will pay top money. Everything tastes incredible. We tried the Miso soup, the regular and the spicy one, the soy beans (edamame), and all sorts of sashimi and nigiri. They have many types of rice, one better than the other, we tried the fried rice with vegetables and egg and the one with shrimp. Delicious. The hot sake was also better than anything I had in Bucharest.

Now, be careful with drinks. Spirits seemed harshly overpriced, say 45 lei for a glass of whiskey (about 10€).

We spent about 1300 lei for a four person dinner (about 280€) and we ate lightly. There are more expensive places in Bucharest, but not many, Casa di David comes to mind in the same price range.

So, all in all we had a great evening, great sushi, great sake, nice place, music not too loud, excellent service, but expect to pay for...

One of the top sushi restaurants from Bucharest. It's a big step up from your average mid-priced restaurants like Zen, Edo, etc. - The price difference is really worth it

High quality fish, good ginger and good wasabi - I really appreciate a place where they put extra effort into the ginger and wasabi

What I don't appreciate: Being greedy and trying to gain extra cash on small things. I am a regular client, I order for groups of people 350 RON or 500 RON - I get the same amount of ginger and wasabi as on a 200+ order

I addressed the issue politely "I do not think the ratio scales with the amount of sushi I have ordered." - There was no difference

Do I really have to make 7 - 12 separate orders so that ginger and wasabi are put on each one and finally get a decent amount for the...
