SARA Floreasca — Restaurant in Bucharest

Sara is a nice italian restaurant in the Agora Floreasca center. There are a lot of choices of Italian dishes with cheese, cold cuts, antipasto, a large selection of pizzas, several pasta dishes and a selection of meats and sometimes fish. I usually take the Caprese salad with fresh buratta, the shrimp tartar, the risotto with salcicia and/or the Argentinean ribeye. Most of the service staff is very polite and helpfull. So far so good. The 3 stars are given due to instability of the taste and sometimes the quality of the main dishes. The steak for example sometimes had an odor which we pointed out to the serving staff. The risotto does not have the same taste all the time. Sometimes also it takes too long to have simple dishes. Once I nearly lost the Friday plane back home waiting for a pizza for almost two hours. By looking the variety of Italian gourmet products one can find in this restaurant/shop it is obvious that the owner put a lot of effort and "meraki" when making this restaurant but what comes on the table has to match this "meraki". Agora Floreasca is one convenient choice for lunch and dinner and Sara certainly one of the best choices there. Lunch at Sara on a Saturday afternoon is a good experience. The restaurant is clean and it has a clear display of Italian wines, confections and products for sales. The waiter who ushered us to our seat speaks italian and is prompt in his service. He took our orders quickly and served us our antipasti. The truffle burrata is delicious and fresh, while we find that the crostini bottarga can be better. The Aglio Olio with Bottarga flakes is delicious. We enjoyed the flavor. The pasta is served al dente and hot right off the stove as it should be. The Margherita pizza on the other hand is a little disappointing because chef kept it on the table for awhile before signaling for it to be served. The cheese has chilled a little on the surface when it reached us and the pizza dough became a little chewy. We know it would be an amazing pizza if it was served right away nonetheless, maybe next time. We had the gelato for dessert and encourage customers here to try them. They are creamy and flavorful, just the right amount of sweetness to end the lunch. We like the restaurant very much and will be back to give the pizza...
