Bistromar — Restaurant in Bucharest

O experienta ce merita traita. Pestii sunt buni la Bistromar. Cefalopodele ( caracatitele a la Gallega ) sunt delicioase. Batute bine sau doar gatite lent in oale de cupru galiciene si marinate indelung se asezara frumos pe niste felii de cartofi copti si rumeniti. Icrele de stiuca sunt foarte bune dar sunt sub cele din delta ( vezi La Liman ).

John Dory-pestele dulgher sau Sf. PETRU , spectaculos. Gatit la plita , gras si suculent se topeste-n cerul gurii. Dorada buna dar nepensata ( multe oase mici). Aligote-ul de Sarica este mereu potrivit la peste dar am incercat si un chardonnay tot de la Sarica si a curs la fel de bine.

Daca n-ar fi fost serviciul lent as fi dat 5 stele. Ospatarul era dragut dar avea pareri ceea ce nu e bine. Mai ales atunci cand nu ti se cer.

Atmosfera e inedita la Bistromar. Tumult, rumoare de piata, comunica de altfel cu ce a mai ramas din Piata Floreasca, aduce o experienta pitoreasca experientei gastronomice. M-a deranjat vitrina de congelate Alfredo care-si putea gasi locul mai bine intr-un supermarket de cartier. Inteleg ca este brand-ul lor de retail dar nu i-as face reclama intr-o carciuma de soi din buricul capitalei.

Imi place conceptul de a manca si de a si cumpara pt acasa din acelasi loc dar prefer sa iau marfa dezghetata de pe patul de gheata nu din congelator brand-uit.

Great taste and service! The location is somehow unusual for such a restaurant but the taste and quality of the food is balancing this. I had one of the best lunch in Bucharest and the courses can beat any well know similar restaurant in Europe. The ingredients are fresh and good quality while the aspect is top of the range. You should definitely try the fish soup and ask for the bread specialty of the house. Which a good glass of Romanian wine these guys make...

Seafood is reasonable (if it's available; we tried squid, salmon, shrimps, mussels), beer selection is pretty narrow (only Nenea Iancu) but that's a personal choice in the end. The main problem is with the serving - most of the items were presented to us as 'we have the but it takes too long'?! Not clear what was the issue but anyway half of the menu was not available.
