My colleagues recommended me here for good italian cuisine. I am pleasantly impressed because food quality is top notch. The waiter is friendly and helpful. He is able to converse in English and able to organize the sequence of how we like our food to be served. We are seated in an alley that is well lit, decorated and warm. The overall ambient is good though floors are wet due to the rain. Food is delicious. For starters, the octopus salad and prawns aglio olio peperoncino surprised us as it is not how it is conventionally prepared and they are so good. We asked for an extra serving of bread to go with the sauce of the prawn as it is very well seasoned and flavorful. For pasta, we ordered a squid ink linguine with king crab and a spinach pappardelle with mushrooms and truffle. Both pasta were served at the same time al dente and hot- the way how pasta should be appreciated. We love both pasta but the Linguine surely stands out with the freshness of the king crab. The desserts we ordered were a chocolate mouse and panna cotta, both being good but not something extraordinary. This is not a restaurant for casual dining given the higher cost of their wine and sparkling water. The bill includes cover charge and bread (that should be complimentary in most restaurants). Nevertheless, we will still recommend this place to anyone in town and who wishes to enjoy good italian cuisine or needing a place to celebrate a special occasion.

5* for the food! Definitely awesome wine list, some of the most delicious dishes & best ever profiterole dessert, but 4* for the overall experience! The decor and the atmosphere of the local are also such an important aspect of a fine dining experience. And at the Poesia restaurant you get a cheap feeling, due to the lacking of a few elements :( The restaurant and the local has huge potential, but some improvements are required: for example we had (only) one candle on our table and it was the plastic electric one from Ikea. On top of it, it was off when we arrived in the evening and no one bothered to light it up. I tried myself and to my surprise, it was not even working. We asked about it and the waiter took it, saw it was not working but just switched it with the one on the next table. Two ladies were sat shortly after at that certain table and went through the same disappointment process due to the plastic candle that wouldn’t light up! Our waiter was nice, but didn’t manage to make us feel spoiled and looking forward to going back. I would go back for the food, but not for a celebration or special occasion.

We went there on a Saturday evening. It's easy to get there from the Aviatorilor subway. We went around 7PM, with reservation. At 8PM it gets crowded. The place is very nice, warm, inviting. They don't have any cocktails or beer, being an italian restaurant. They only have water and different types of wine. The music was ok and the volume was set ideally, not to hear clearly the conversations around, but still allowing us to talk normally and understand each other. I appreciated that they brought us a starter on the house: two types of butter (very good the one with the truffles), olives and 4 types of bread (the round one and the slices of the white bread were very much enjoyed). The food was good, personally I think that the green pepper sauce for the meat could have been more fresh (speaking of taste) and hot (also speaking of taste) and the green leaf used to decorate the meat dish overpowered the sauce, at least. The fries were perfect. It was a pleasant experience. We enjoyed ourselves. Cheers!
