Central Park Simion Bărnuțiu — Attraction in Cluj Metropolitan Area

My family and I spent a sunny Sunday afternoon at Cluj’s Central Park last summer, and it quickly became one of our favorite spots in the city. The park is wonderfully green and well-kept, offering a peaceful retreat right in the middle of the urban buzz. We rented paddle boats on the lake, which the kid loved, and then relaxed at the café nearby. Visitors often mention how this park is the perfect balance between nature and city life, and I completely agree. The Park is clean and it has many attractions. There is a fountain, a lake, some restaurants, many trees and much more. You can take a ride with the hidrobicycle on the lake and feed the ducks, or take a walk on the alley. You are allowed with dogs or to ride a bike, a scooter or skates but you are not allowed with the car in the Park because there are parking lots nearby. You can buy food from the food courts like burgers, ice cream, hots dogs, smoothies and so on and there is also a playground for the kids with swings, slides and stuff. In the summer time there is a train or a chaise with a poney for the Kids. You can also have a picnic or bring your hammock to relax and random people come to sing and to play instruments. Creating the Central Park had been one of the first initiatives of urban remodeling of the city at the end of the 19th century. Its purpose had been the creation of a leisure spot in the close proximity of the city center. The initial name of the area field was ants’ grove situated on the bank of the river Somes.
