LE august 2022 Came to the restaurant with some friends, 8 people in total. The experience was not good and will think about coming here anytime soon. Waiter was very very unprepared. He did not know the menu, he was a little bored and seems like he didn't want to work. We stayed like 3 hours and only had the chance to drink two cocktails because he was never around. Also, he got the order wrong (only one type of food) and he asked us if he should leave it on the table anyway. Very hot inside. We asked for the AC or ventilation to be started, he told us that they are not allowed to and also the personnel consider that it is hot, however they are not allowed to lower the temperature. Food was average, compared to the last visit. The bread for the hummus, which arrived 10 minutes after the hummus, was warm, however it looked like old bread. Anyway, who brings bread for hummus? Increase the price and bring me a decent focaccia. Risotto was almost cold when arrived. Unacceptable. 4.Cocktails were ok, only thing that remained at a decent level After we finished eating, the leftovers remained more than 20 minutes on the table. We had to call somebody to ask them to take the empty plates.
Great location, great design, however poor quality of services. Prices are high for Sibiu, however this is not a problem, but the full visit has to be qualitative.
First review - February 2022: Good atmosphere, interesting food. The location is arranged really nice, it gives a glimpse of being in the woods, a very young one. Tables are ok, with good dimensions even for tall people (this is a general problem with new restaurants).
Wide variety menu, food is good, we had different dishes and all were ok.
Hope that they will maintain...
Read moreThis is a tough review to give because the potential is there, but the execution isn't. Sibiu deserves a great venue, but it would appear that this is not a local establishment managed by local passion. Just a hunch, but probably correct.
The floor staff are incredibly friendly, attentive, and really there to help. But inconsistent is the best way to describe Fain, which is mainly driven by a lack of floor management or leadership.
For one, the entire menu has not been available on the two times we visited over the past four days. Drinks have been watered down, and when requested to "top up" the drink, it was met with great enthusiasm. thank you.
Second, inexperience. For a venue with all of the visual bells and whistles, you feel like you are at a tourist trap on the Mediterranean.
Lastly, I don't mean this review to be disparaging, but we just came away like we were just a number, in a very cool looking place, that is taking customers away from other restaurants in town that really care about their customers. And that is not to say the staff don't care, I really believe they do, but I believe there is a top-down mandate to take customers for a ride, take their money, and turn them over.
A place like this should not...
Read moreA new restaurant set with high standards, but to attain them , still has a lot of work to do.Rather a work in progress for now. First, for the top location, huge space, they need to decide : is this a high traffic bistro kind of restaurant, or more of a fine dining restaurant...My impression is, they tried to make a fusion of everything, from decor, atmosphere, music, all the way to food. The paradox is, it's not enough to satisfy most of the clients. The risk is, you end up not getting truly anywhere. First thing, they still need better management with the personnel, to be more welcoming and observant. The music provided may be nice, but has to be for everybody's taste, a little diversity is necessary. And last but not least, the food needs improvement. Even is overall good and well presented, there's a lot of competition in town, and they have to try more. I've had better and tastier meals elsewhere. I ordered the beef tartare and it was disappointing. I still believe and hope they can do the best....
