Kids chicken fingers were acclaimed by my 6 years old ... kudos The fish n chips were oily, mashed peas missed the mint and the next door sauce will never substitute the classic tartar so don't ruin it. My veal ribs were actually 3 large bones with some fatty hangovers together with a spoon of red cabbage acting as coleslaw wannabe. Boiled potatoes dropped in a deep frier, dusted with some ready made condiments. Two sauces - bottled barbeque and a dilluted first version mixed with some sriracha. So far the worse food choice made this year. Considering the number of deep fried items you should change the oil more often and separating sea food fryer. The food is delivered relatively fast although some tables that arrived later than us got served first. The cheesecake was full of gelatine ... please change the menu item and called "Diplomat" Long story short a tourist trap ... definitely not a return location. While waiting for the bill i noticed the staff carryng in garbage bags full of ice. They should now that all garbage bags are sprayed with chemicals that prevent bacteria growth - obviously not a food safe solution - be nice and buy an ice maker cause summer is coming. Read moreGorgeous space, gorgeous place. Visited with my best friends and the only thing we regret is not coming earlier so we could enjoy the atmosphere for a longer evening. Despite the restrictions in place with the masks and certificates and the curfew, the staff had been wonderfully accommodating - certificates verified, seats found fast, drinks brought at the perfect moment, food has been served quickly. Oh and the foooooooooooood: it was so good and tasty and just the perfect amount to get filled and still take some home. This quesadilla, not to be dramatic, may have been the reason why my week went so well. The potatoes were perfectly garlicky and parmigiano-ed. Also had a drink, not pictured: warm apple juice. Y'all ever had warm apple juice in a cold, mountainy weather? It feels like angels personally tickled my throat with each sip. Additionally, had a lava cake with caramel. Need i say more? It's like being allowed to lick the crown jewels.
As the curfew neared we asked for the waiter to pack the rest of the food to-go, and they did it with no complaints.
Definitely would go back for more, but earlier, maybe in the afternoon, because this is not the kind of spot to visit for just a bit. Read moreWe went to the restaurant on the 18th of December, it was a full house, so quite crowded and noisy. The place looks good, it is nicely decorated. We ordered a blue cheese burger, a slow cooked pork burger, a glass of mulled wine and a camomile tea. It took them around 6-8 minutes to bring us the beverages, i received the smallest portion of tea - i am always surprised that tea costs at least the same as bottled juice, when its just hot water and some leaves, but hey, restaurants have to make money somehow. The food was looking good, took a while to get to us, but: the blue cheese burger had too much cheese. We mentioned it to the waiter( when he politely asked if everything was ok) and he said that generally blue cheese has more aroma, which is true, but this burger had that much blue cheese that you couldn’t feel the taste of meat. And that’s not ok. Other than that, the potatoes were warm and tasty, the salad had a nice dressing. the pulled pork burger was very good, and the portion quite large - i ate like 75% of it -, big portion of sweet potato fries, which, unfortunately, were more on the cold side 🤷🏻♀️ With a tasty sauce and a good coleslaw salad.
