CASA CROWN — Hotel in Zona Metropolitană Brașov

It is in the Center of the town, in The Piata Sfatului Square, the main criteria I was looking for. Also the room (room no.2) has a small balcony. A good size of the bathroom. The fact that in the room was an umbrella (I hope it was complimentary from the hosts in case it rains, and it wasn't forgotten there by otger guest:)) ). Also you have an AC in the room, very convenient! In a 4 nights stay, in the 3rd day my room was cleaned, towels changed, the shower aftermath was cleaned. The check out was: "it's enough to leave the key in the door".||Diffcult upstair acces to the floor where the room is (2nd floor), with spiralwooden stairs all the way up. The outside acces to the Casa Crown might be considered inappropriate, as you will reach the entrance in the building through an alley wich is also used by the staff of the restaurant which is placed at the ground floor and the first floor. The alley is not very stable, as it is a wooden one, with some gaps. The room (room no 2) is not so large, with no hallway between the door and the room itself. The amenities: you have a fridge, but is very noisy, it could be heart skocking in the middle of the night. The boiling water can can be used only with the power outlets next to the bed, because the acces to the power outlet next to the fridge is very difficult. The smell from the bathroom some times is moldy or even poopy. The shower leaks big time. After a 10 minute shower, half of the bathroom floor was full of water leaked from the shower. The shower has only one sliding plastic door, the other is missing in action. In the room there are no carpets. Also the architecture of the room presents some corners where you have to be aware not to knock your head into the wooden beams. The balcony is quite small, but the problem there is that you don/t have some roof above. The view doesn't exist, as the balcony of the room no 2 is facing walls and roofs, within 3 meters distance on 2 sides...

There was no mountain view, a very small room with a weird cupboard. Some light switches were broken. The shower cabin doors were broken and unhinged. The furniture was old and unkept. Comfy bed though and clean sheets and towels. It is central and that brings you closer to all the restaurants but it is very hard to find a parking spot. The room door wouldn't stay closed without a key, also the bathroom door wouldn't close either. No mosquito nets which means all types of flies and bees come in. At least they have AC so we kept the window closed. We only stayed one night but I was very dissapointed because the only thing|that looked like the pictures they post was the hallway. Will not return. The staff was nice but I guess they have to make up for the state of the rooms. Or maybe we were just unlucky to receive...

What can I say, Casa Crown has got to be the most beautiful accommodation I've stayed in, rustic, clean, friendly and great value for money. We arrived in Brasov by train around midday but our check in time wasn't till 15.00 but we called to see if we could drop our bags in so we could explore. We were told this was absolutely fine and so we did. Whilst on the cable car trip to the top of Tampa mountain the owner called us to say if we wanted to check in early we could as the room was now ready.
