The restaurant was a pleasant place overall. It looks like it is a local hotspot. There is parking in front of the restaurant, but with a limited number of parking spaces so you will most likely need to wait for someone to leave.

Inside of the restaurant was a combination of modern and old, a very interesting place. It looks like there is live music often as there is a place for a band.

The menu is really well organized. +1 for this! There is a number and image assigned to each dish, so if you are not familiar with cuisine you can understand what you are ordering. Prices are very good, nothing super cheap but completely within the value of this place.

Service was okay-ish. The waiter forgot drinks and was slow overall.

We ordered grilled/fried local cheese, soup and some pork dishes with polenta.

The soup was great, full of meat and vegetables and it tasted really interesting, but it was a bit cold.

Grilled cheese was somehow dry. I have no idea how. It looks like it was not deep fried but baked in an oven or air fryer? Not sure, but it was a bit weird. But, it was almost completely eaten..

The pork dish was really big, it could be split into two portions easily. Meat had interesting spices but it was of a lower quality cut. It would taste much better if the portion was a bit smaller but the meat was a better quality. In the center of the meat there is a big pile of Polenta with cheese that tasted okay-ish. Especially compared to some other places in Brasov that made it fantastically well.

The overall score was not 3, but not 4 as well. Food tasted okay-ish, service was okay-ish, but portions are big and price is lower so if that is your style...

UPDATE: the latest visit was a total disappointment. We were not able to sit outside because of the weather. It was live music night, which was awful. The music was bad, we couldn't hear neither what the person sang, nor each other because it was too loud. The sound was not properly set. We asked the waiter to tell them to lower the volume because we are in a restaurant, not a club, and of course nothing happened. The food was mediocre at best. The fish was drowning in oil, the ribs were not even spiced. The waiter was quite bored, he answered bored to all questions (when asked about what types of beer they have he only mentioned 2 brands despite the fact that there is a whole list in the menu. Then he said "what other beer you want - isn't it enough with 2 types?"). And then after all this he basically begged for a 10% tip and when we went to pay did not shut up until we agreed for him to add the 10% tip. This is totally unprofessional - first of all tipping is optional and secondly the amount depends on what the client wants, not the waiter. So all in all, NO, the place is not recommendable anymore! There are plenty of other places to go to where you are treated much better and the food is much tastier. There is no reason to go to this place.

Really nice place, very good service and delicious food. Totally...

An overrated restaurant, with mediocre food and bad "service". I went to this restaurant for years and had a relatively pleasant experience, but the last visits convinced me that the owners of this restaurant probably made too much money and no longer pay attention to the food menu and the staff they employ. The last experience I had, 2 adults and 1 child, was very bad. They gave us a table for 2 people, where we were greeted by an employee who smelled strongly of alcohol, the table was also 1 meter from the place where the employees take their cigarette breaks, that is, every 2 minutes, taking into account that we were with 1 small child they could offer us an alternative, the employees' answer was that "we have nothing to do, there is a smoking area". The menus arrived at our table after about 10 minutes after we sat down, that's because we asked for them, surprisingly because most of the employees were talking to each other at the tables. After 1 minute after the menus arrived, another colleague came who wanted to take our order already. When we finally wanted to order, of course they didn't have what we wanted to eat from the menu, this didn't happen just once. Good luck Roata Norocului!...

We went there as a recommendation from the guy we tented our apartment from and we had a “so - so” experience and we went there twice and it’s 2- max 3⭐️s. The first time we were there my husband had a mixed grill combination with French fries - which was edible, but it lacked taste ( the chicken was dry, the pork was dry, the sausage was kinda too fat and the small - bad), but the french fries were ok. I had the beef stew with vegetables: the beef was good, the vegetables horrible. Just boiled, no salt, no pepper, no butter. Just thrown in boiled water. And the lemonade is a disgrace - i think it’s hellas or syrup lemonade. The second time we went there to eat papanasi, we had a glass of wine - not good, not bad 😒, papanasi - really good, tasty bun, flavorful, sweet - the portion is not too big, so think again if you want to share :)) and an apple pie - horrible, it didn’t even taste like it was made with apples. And again, it lacked spices ( cinnamon, vanilla). Also, no hot water in the bathroom, because we all like to wash our hands with freezing water!

Overall: a good/reasonable experience, no important issues, in the same time nothing to sweep you off your feet. Walked in on Sunday afternoon, place was very busy (seems to be fairly popular and to have its fair share of returning locals/regulars) but securing a table was easy enough, the waiters were accomodating and helpful. Service was reasonably fast, food was tasty for what was worth, prices were good, nothing to break your bank. On the downside: we were a bit disconcerted with the size of one of their dishes (Grandma's jar: traditional meat and sausages, polenta, pickles etc) which given its description and higher price, we were expecting it to be suitable for two, but was barely sufficient for one ; moreover, their lemonade came pre-sweetened (likely white sugar?) which its not that common or nice (read: desirable) these days (we prefer honey as our sweetener of choice). All-in: we'll be likely to return, when back in the area and in the absence of more attractive dinning options.
