Service is disgraceful. We had to wait 40 min for a table that was already reserved for us. Apparently this was because some other customers didn't want to pay. Which I now completely understand (See below). Once we got our table service was rude, confusing and stressed even though there seemed to be a huge surplus of staff (At most 5 staff dividing over something at the register and one additional polishing glasses whilst we didn't receive any service). Loads of menu items where "out of stock". Our appetizers showed up with our main courses. Our drink order wasn't even taken until after 3 tries. Wine was served without water. Soda without being opened. Table was dirty, had to ask them to clean it which they did reluctantly. Prices are ridiculous for what is essentially a theme restaurant. It was the most expensive meal we had in St Petersburg. AND here comes the best part: For all of this we had to pay a mandatory 10% service fee because we were "tourists". In short everything was terrible except the...
Read moreI've ordered tar-tar, Dallas steak, medium, and some side dishes. Everything is quite expensive, but steak worth its price (meat itself, how it was cooked and served). The only possible complaint, that the meat knife was a bit dull (it was not serrated, which is good, but this kind of blade require more frequent sharpening). Everything other than steak (both food and service) was just ok. Not bad at all, but fits more to 2-3 times cheaper place. It was difficult to get waiter's attention (place was occupied for about 30%), and they weren't very helpfull. Tar-tar had not enough vinegar and pickles to give it a recognisable taste, but too much capers to enjoy the taste of meat itself. Grilled vegetables were scarce. For the big teapot, I was served with just 2 cubes of sugar. I would visit this place again specifically for its meat, but not for overall...
Read moreOne word, overrated. I had high hopes for this restaurant, beeing a true lover of meat, although had to leave dissapointed.
With a bill of approx 16000rub for 4 ppl, I expected better. Carpaccio was too thick and served as a roll (?) with cheese and ruccola inside. It was therefore quite tough and I even had to spit one part out.
Bone marrow was served too salted, otherwise nice.
T-bone was tender but didnt taste a lot of dry aged beef, more like veal and was too lean.
The Shashlik was really tasty (1200rub, overpriced for one stick in my opinion), as was the baklava with ice cream in the middle. Really well balanced!
The asado lamb racks-mix-salad was ok, but something I could make easy at home and was only for show ala ”Salt bae”. Copying Salt bae is not a bad idea, its cool and enjoyable, but the food must be in the center...
