Chez Robert — Restaurant in Kigali City

Been going there for their buffer lunch for years. It's more on the expensive side for a lunch buffet. With the presence of multiple 3+ star hotels in Kigali, their price seems high for what is on offer. The service is really good and the food is tasty. The dishes are always kept refilled. The only issue is they need to renovate the place, especially during day time the bad state if the false roofing is visible. Also their outside sitting area has been under renovation for a long time and now it feels a bit awkward that it's not finished for this long. If they could do basic renovation this will be a gem giving old...

For the price, the service and good was excellent. Under $10 USD gets you a buffet with a bunch of local traditional foods, like cassava lead puree which was interesting and somewhat good even contrary to expectations. Not sure why it's called Chez Robert... Makes it sound like a French restaurant which I'm pretty sure it is not. Staff paid very close attention, and every time I got up for another serving, they picked up plates and replaced the cutlery. Great...
