If you’re craving generous portions, flavorful rice, and tender goat meat in Kigali, House of Mandi is a must-visit. I ordered a rice dish (can’t remember the exact name, but it was a Mandi-style rice) with goat meat, plus a glass of fresh pineapple and ginger juice. The rice was aromatic and well-seasoned, not oily, and the goat meat was tender, juicy, and easy to eat. You can tell it was slow-cooked because the flavors were deep and well-balanced. The portion size was huge , enough to fill you up and still have some left to take home. The juice was fresh, tangy, and cold, the perfect balance to the richness of the rice and meat. Service was friendly and efficient. The staff brought out the food quickly, and they checked in once to make sure everything was okay. The space is clean and welcoming, with simple decor that matches the casual dining vibe. Getting there from Norrsken Kigali: If you’re driving, it’s about a 5 minute ride depending on traffic. Put it on the map, and the location is accurate. Parking is available close to the restaurant. Tip: Come hungry. Portions here are big. If you’re a small eater, consider sharing even the half plate portion. Overall, House of Mandi is a great spot for anyone who wants hearty portions of well-cooked rice and meat at a good price, with fresh juice to top it off. P.s I also added the bill

The House of Mandi in downtown Kigali is an absolute gem! I visited recently in two different days and ordered both the mutton curry and chicken curry, along with mango and orange juices. Every dish was perfectly seasoned, with rich, authentic flavors that made each bite enjoyable. The mutton curry was tender and flavorful, while the chicken curry had just the right balance of spices. Both dishes were generous in portion, making it a satisfying experience. The atmosphere at the restaurant is warm and inviting, with a lovely decor that complements the dining experience. The service was excellent as well—the staff was attentive, friendly, and efficient, making sure everything was perfect throughout the meal. It’s clear that the team at House of Mandi cares about providing a memorable experience for their guests. For anyone looking for delicious, authentic food in a relaxing setting, I highly recommend The House of Mandi! Will definitely be returning soon.

Elle s’est montrĂ© assez agressive en me disant « all it’s good for you ! no ?
