As a visitor in Rwanda, I was absolutely blown away by La Galette! I ordered the schnitzel with mushroom sauce and mashed potatoes and honestly, it tasted even better than in Germany! The flavors were rich and perfectly balanced.

The menu offers a wide variety of dishes, and everything we tried was a solid 10/10: fish, pizza, burgers. Each dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented.

What makes La Galette even more special is that it's not just a restaurant, it also includes a butcher, a bakery, and a small supermarket. It's the perfect place to enjoy a great meal and pick up some high-quality groceries or fresh bread on the way out.

The bakery personnel dropped my baguette on the floor. This occurred after paying and asking for two smaller bags in place of one bag which failed at the glued seam. She did not even pretend to dust the bread off. She stuffed the tainted baguette into a new bag. Naturally I objected. She rudely pushed the bagged bread at me at the counter. I asked the cashier for a refund after explaining my objection to purchase. The cashier name on the receipt was “Candy”.
