McDonald's — Restaurant in Al Maathar Municipality

There’s been a lot of talk on TikTok about McDonald’s always claiming their ice cream machines are “broken,” and many people think they’re just making excuses.

Today, I decided to see for myself. I went to McDonald’s and ordered two Oreo McFlurries and a Blue Raspberry ice cream, paying 20 riyals. They didn’t give me a receipt, and after waiting 30 minutes and asking for it multiple times, they finally told me—after another 10 minutes—that the ice cream machine was broken.

Frustrated, they told me to call their corporate office, but no one answered. I brought it up with the manager, pointing out how they kept changing their story. Eventually, another employee confirmed the machine was broken. At that point, I called them out for lying, and in the end, the manager gave me my two McFlurries and the Blue Raspberry ice cream.

Honestly, this whole experience left a bad impression. I don’t think I’ll be going back to McDonald’s anytime soon, and I hope they stop misleading...
