Restaurant Tchaikovsky — Restaurant in City of Belgrade

I came here with my friends for the first time , heard a lot about this place + very old fashioned (I liked it ) atmosphere. Food was good too. Some of us had main courses , some just dessert. But there was one thing that spoiled everything: I got back home smelling like an ashtray 😖 Guys , it’s almost 2025 - you can’t let people smoke inside. As I understood we were at non smoking area - but the smell is everywhere. The waiter opened the window but it was a bit cold outside so we asked to close it . I understand if people want to smoke : in this case sit outside, don’t smoke inside . It’s unhealthy, it’s disgusting. How could we enjoy the meal if non of us were smokers and we had to sit and “enjoy” this wonderful smell of the cigarettes. I travel a lot - and I never seen people smoking inside the restaurant or cafe. I want this beautiful restaurant to hear me . You have a very beautiful and historic place , you have an amazing meal , but tourists coming to Tchaikovsky …. Well it’s forbidden everywhere in the world to smoke. Just do something with it . I got back home early with headache, and all my clothes and hair were smelling...

Nice atmosphere - very regal and classic ambience. I was staying at Hotel Moskva so had all my meals here - Breakfast, coffee and dinner.

It would be good to have some tables reserved for hotel guests as the place gets quite busy especially in the evenings for drinks / coffee

Breakfast: ok, could have more choices. Wouldn’t put it at par with a Hilton. Slightly subpar but acceptable.

Coffee: The desserts are to die for. Prices slightly on expensive side for what you’d expect in Belgrade. As a Londoner I was happy to pay. Service could be better. Most of the wait staff is nice but some could smile and be more hospitable.

Dinner: lots of options for vegetarians and vegan so I was happy. Portions were large! I wanted to have dessert and had no room. Some decent local Serbian...

we ate here for breakfast. we enjoyed the food and had a good experience.

the cuban sandwich was a favorite. the ingredients were high quality, it had a great mustard sauce, and the crunchiest, best bread! the trio sano (oatmeal) was tasty, and it seems to have been made with good care. but the honesy mustve absorbed cause I couldn't taste it, but I was given some more when I asked. the fruits were different from the picture, but good and fresh (except the raisins of course haha). My mom said the avocado toast impressed too.

The atmosphere is sophisticated and luxurious. they played classical and some latin instrumental music too. fantastic.
