Staff needs to be changed. Unprofessional, unfriendly, unpolite. Starting with tortilla guy with a remark that if "we order a meal that includes gucamole we will be charged for it anyways because there is no any (no guaca in Mexican food place - such a normal thing to expect, right). Followed by a girl that 'expected' of us to know immediately which lemonade to take (we didnt know that there are flavoured lemonades anyway but to hastly insist on our answer without even offering or explaining - unacceptable). Coming to food at the end - burritos are medium quality (but for some people around here they would be perfect cause they dodnt have chance to try the real thing in Mexico or certified Mexican food corners around Europe. Churros were disaster. Such a disappointment. Cold and rock hard with too much fried colour on and such a small amount of topping. Still don't understand how they have reached such high ratings but way far even from 3. A lot of things to be learnt...
Read moreMy experience was completely ruined by a young male staff member who was so rude. If he was serving again I would l not return. I asked for the tortilla to be heated up before he built the burrito but the staff member simply said 'no' even though the day before a lovely staff member had done this automatically. After this he muttered under his breath whilst preparing our food and it felt like he was laughing at us. He took no care making our food and seemed like Iike he couldn't care less. After a few minutes I went back up to let him know that my burrito was cold and asked him why he had been so rude to us, to which he just said 'do you want your money back', and offered no apology whatsoever. We were also overcharged for 2 guacamole's but another staff member sorted this for us with no problem. The burrito was tasty but I wish I hadn't gone in and had my...
Read moreI came to this restaurant in the summer and it honestly wasn’t that bad, it was edible.. not necessarily Mexican but somewhat edible. I went tonight again after arriving in Serbia and was hoping for the same quality. I got somewhat stale rice, and just some very odd tastes.. I would really recommend more citrus juices to be added to the food (lemon, lime) and perhaps more cilantro, if you’re really trying to claim it as Mexican cuisine.. there was carrot and beets in the salad mixture, which really caught me off guard. I’ve never before seen carrots and beets in a salad of a Mexican restaurant. Being a food prep for Chipotle in the states, seeing these things just was unacceptable for the Mexican culture. I would really hope that Burrito Madre takes my suggestions to heart I would gladly show them how it’s done, and how to cook...
