I was really looking forward to this restaurant, because I had my eyes on that many times before when I was in Stiavnica, but I have to admit, that I was dissapointed. Me and my girlfriend went there for Lunch at 12 when they opened, so they were like one other couple with us in the restaurant in that time. However I got my food after 50 mins. I ordered fried cheese with fries and soup and my gf Pad Thai...cheese came first, and I was thinking "where is the soup, and why you brining dishes separately for people who are sitting together". Few minutes after that we recieved Pad Thai and the soup, so in the time I was eating the main dish, it was not so warm. Atmosphere of the place was nice tho, even when the smoke came out of fireplace and they have to open the door (end of November btw) because we would suffocate ourselves and the temperature inside was really low. Prizes are little high I would say, considering level of service u get and for the food in general. Soup was sour aswell as the Pad Thai, which had very few tofu in it. Fried cheese for 9.80€ and Pad Thai of 14.95€ and hot...
Read moreAfter a week spent in mountainous Slovak regions encountering fantastic, but still mostly traditional foods we wanted to have a taste of something different, so we decided to give a try to Lemberg Bistro, about which we heard so much. The restaurant with its artisticly-furnished interior and details is located in the middle of historical center of Banska Stiavnica. The staff was very pleasant, positive, willing to help and to advise, and the drinks as well as the food was served very quickly. We ordered Ukrainian, Thai and Zanzibar-origin cuisine of which exotic flavours and smell enriched our gastro-experience - appropriately chosen meat substitute, tender buns, juicy jackfruit, everything perfectly seasoned. Really unique meals which you may not encounter anywhere. I admit, that for someone the prices may be a bit higher, but it is something you should expect while eating in the town center and also when the ingredients are not entirely local.

Read moreThe concept to serve various dishes fom different countries is great and the place is quite attractive from outside, but... My friend ordered spring rolls, which was cold and absolutely tasteless, so she wanted to order something else. Of course they said we can order, but we have to pay for the spring rolls as well. My friend didn't like my dishes (I wanted to offer her) and in fact it was an ordinary pasta with tomato sauce (it supposed to have some speciality from Kazahstan, but it was like a simpliest Italian food). After this my friend didn't want to order anything. She sent back her food. in the end the waitress ask us do we want to take it, because otherwise tehy will just throw it away, so I decidedd to take. On the bill they added 3 euros just for the take-awy box and they packed it in a way that it falled apart in my bag. So, even if it's looks Ok, I really don't recommend to have yor meal in...
