Penzion Rozália Banská Štiavnica — Hotel in Banská Štiavnica

On a Christmas excursion my family and I spent two nights at this pension. We took three rooms. Most of us were cold the whole time we were there with the exception of the two lucky ones who stayed in the room facing the stairs at the back (no 2?). This room didnt have a view of the old town (facing a little yard) but it had a full-size radiator and a small window, so it was the only warm place. The other two rooms only have a small radiator that were not enough to heat up the rooms that hadnt been in use. None of the bathrooms had a radiator so it was really cold inside. Plus they were turned off centrally during the night making the situation worse. After making some calls the situation got a bit warmer (second night). The corridors didnt have any heating whatsoever.||The shower in our room didnt work. It one of those complicated ones with a massage option or whatnot but I only managed to make it work once after turning the two knobs frenetically for ten minutes. They told us on the phone to wait 15 min and it ll work(???) or something like that. Staff only spoke some not-too-fluent German.||The beds were the old coil type, squeaky and not too comfy.||||Room number 4 and 6 have the best view of the old town. The location is really central, cannot be beaten. Parking is bothersome were told to park in the street in front of the pension a really narrow street not designed for cars. Steep and dead end but it was convenient (once managed to park didnt move the car after that) Parking otherwise is impossible in the old town. On the last day though right before check-out the police put wheel clamps on our cars (all guests cars actually). The owner made some calls and they were taken off without having to pay any fine fortunately. ||||So my final conclusion is that only stay here in the summer if you really want a good view (room cost the same regardless...

Amazing! Right in the heart of Banska Stiavnica. The owner is fantastic and very helpful. The rooms were very nice and cozy. No A/C which is understandable as the building is a couple of hundred years old and belongs to the UNESCO heritage. Everything is super near - just a few minutes walking distance (main square, restaurants, castles, lakes...). We spent 3 nights here and w loved it here. Would recommend 100%.

Celkom fajn miesto, ... pekné, poupratované, milí, ochotný personál a úplne perfektne situované a tak, ..., hoci by človek možno ocenil trochu väčší tlak vody, / hoc, možno to bol len prechodný stav, počas nášho pobytu a chyba vodární 🤔 / , prehliadol jedno miniatúrne mydlo / hodné turistickej ubytovne = trochu iný cenový level /, jeden malý uteráčik / na štvordňovú dĺžku pobytu pre každú osobu ma to trochu zarazilo / a dokonca aj rýchlovarnú kanvicu, ktorú by asi po vzhliadnutí jej dna použil len samovrah, celkom odporúčam 🙂 No ... pokiaľ nepatríte medzi ľudí, ktorí na dovolenke vstávajú o šiestej ráno a vyrážajú von, tak si vo vlastnom záujme overte, či počas Vášho pobytu, aj v izbe nad Vami, sú ubytovaní nejakí hostia. Pretože Vám garantujem, že pokiaľ tam sú, tak si rozhodne ráno nepospíte 🙄 Budete totiž počuť každý ich krok, otočenie sa na posteli, ... a nekonečné vŕzganie podláh, pri akomkoľvek sebemenšom pohybe, ... neskutočne rušivá vec, pri ktorej človeku proste dochádza tolerancia, nech je ňou...
