The botanical garden was very nice and offered beautiful views of the surroundings of Banska Stiavnica. Don't expect, however, to be able to read any of the signs that show the names of the trees or plants. These are in bad condition. The park is not very large, but is definitely nice to just wander through or have a sandwich on one of the benches.

Smallish but pretty gardens. Nice sequoia trees. We tried to drive there but there was absolutely no parking available anywhere. We ended up catching a bus from town which was a much better option. Or you could walk but it’s uphill from town.

Botanická záhrada je nádherným miestom s nevyužitým potenciálom. Stromy a rastliny sú krásne a určite aj hodnotné, žiaľ celý priestor je do veľkej miery zanedbaný a neudržiavaný. Je jasné, že starať sa o tak veľký priestor je náročné na prostriedky, ale v lokalite, ktorá je alebo by aspoň chcela byť centrom cestovného ruchu by si určite záhrada zaslúžila viac pozornosti a investíciu do opravy a údržby. Jedná sa totiž naozaj o nádherné miesto, ktoré určite stojí za návštevu a ktoré má potenciál priťahovať veľké množstvo návštevníkov.

The garden is rather small but very charming! You get to see the mysterious and beautiful sequoias and if you're lucky enough you'll spot some of the squirrels as well.

Un paesino storico bellissimo, tra l’altro il paese più vecchio situato su una collina della Slovacchia, partendo dalle casette restaurate con passione (purtroppo non tutte), i piccoli bar, ristoranti molto caratteristici, la banca dell’amore (con una storia molto interessanti per i romantici tra di noi), e il calvario restaurato con cura da sponsorizzato da persone private e il castello che visiterò la prossima volta, ne vale la pena passare 1 o meglio 2 giorni 👌🏻
