Coburg bistro — Restaurant in Banská Štiavnica

Very disappointed, we waited 45 minutes for 2 burgers, one table was already served and the other table ordered with us... so 45 minutes is extremely long. The fries where not bad. The burger wasn't that good, the meat was fine but overcooked mine didn't have enough salt the other one had a lot salt. The bun looked nice but with out taste, also the cold soggy beacon was disappointing, in which the owner told me that they put it cold so it will be crispy, which was not......

Edit after reply. The service asked me if everything was OK, and I told for now we will see, I didn't make any bad gesture or anything, so we can skip. Also,you tell me 4 rizoto that had the table next to us and 2 burgers (rizoto came at 25 minutes, witch the rizoto rice is pre-cooked and almost ready) is full... the third table was already served, and the forth table was reserved. Yes you told me not to pay, but I didn't came there to eat for free or by not paying to give a better rating. Also for the beacon you told me it should be crispy, which wasn't. After waiting 45 minutes for 2 burgers I didn't want to spend more of my vacation time waiting for a beacon. Also with 4 burgers in the menu, one Steak, one salad, one meal of the Day and 4.6 stars 🙈 you have some expectations. Bad sadly it doesn't deserve...

We went there as a group of 7 people for dinner. I recommend you to get the reservation ahead due to high demand of this place. They were pretty fast with getting us the menu. There is not so many options of burgers - 3 choices (since its a burger place) but for me its fine. The fewer options the better they do them 🙂you need to order french fries and dressing separately since its not included in the burger. The girl was a bit confused with our orders but in the end we got everything right. We tried all of the burgers (Moon, New coburg and classic Coburg) and they were fantastic! French fries as well. The chilli dip on the other hand was kind of basic stuff. We were waiting for our food around an hour. And for the drinks maybe around 20minutes.

So for the food 5/5, staff 3/5 (she was very kind but a bit confused). The reason I am giving only 3 stars is this one thing - if you order a glass of water you pay for it! For basic water from the sink! That is a bit ridiculous when you are paying about 40eur for 2 burgers, fries and 2 drinks and they charge your for...

To be honest I did not expect this.. Burger, great maybe a bit too much fresh onion (or maybe only purely distributed through the burgers sections). Beer, good as well I really like when pubs and restaurants serve something else than Pilznerurquell, Heineken and stuff like that.. Only disappointment were the onion rings.. And now I will be honest. Never ever had such bad onion rings.. Where the hell was the onion in those? And soo much dough around it.. Eeew.. I could swear if I'd took one in my hand and squeezed it oil would start dripping. Please it's called onion rings, not dough and oil rings... I also said that to the waitress.. Hope the chef will see and hear this complaint.. Everything else preety good for a small town starting burger bar.. I'll give you another chance in a couple of months and hopefully I'll be able to improve from 2...
