Nico Caffé — Restaurant in Košice

The food at Nico Caffé is excellent, and the coffee is top-notch. The ambiance is also fantastic, creating a very inviting atmosphere. However, my experience wasn’t entirely flawless.

When I arrived, I asked in the local language if they spoke English, and I was then attended to in English, which was great. However, the menu provided to me was only in Slovak. When the waitress approached, I mentioned that I needed more time because the menu wasn’t in English. Her response caught me off guard: “Don’t you have a translator on your phone?”

While I understand that not every establishment can provide menus in multiple languages, expecting customers to translate an entire menu on their own isn’t exactly practical. Despite her tone, I decided to move past it and asked her to explain one of the options. She did, and I placed my order.

The food arrived quickly and was absolutely delicious, which helped make up for the earlier inconvenience. Additionally, the rest of the staff treated me wonderfully. One staff member in particular, a lady with glasses, was kind and welcoming from start to finish. Her friendliness and professionalism stood out and made the experience much better.

Overall, Nico Caffé delivers in terms of food, coffee, and ambiance, but the lack of support for a universal language and the way the situation with the waitress was handled prevented me from giving a perfect score. Everything else, however,...

One of the best places in Košice. For coffee, for breakfast even early dinner. They are happy to make you a coffee in your own cup. It really is delightfull. No sight of that nasty after taste from some cofees. Great enviroment. Even better staff. They do control the OTP(vaccinated, tested, after covid) so have it prepared. Also the have lactose-free milk!

Food- reaaaly tasty could´t get enough of butterd chicken.

Price- coffee price is standart to Košice. Wouldn´t mind if it was lower, but for that taste is managable. Price-food also standart if we take Košice, but not a daily place to eat.
