During an evening walk through Košice, my younger sister and I decided to stop by this Italian restaurant for a short break. I ordered an Aperol Spritz, while my sister chose an orange juice and a dessert — a chocolate lava cake with ice cream.
The dessert deserves special praise. The fondant was simply excellent: warm, rich in chocolate flavor, and perfectly complemented by the strawberry ice cream and fresh fruit. The presentation was very well done.
Unfortunately, the Aperol Spritz was a bit disappointing. The taste seemed not quite original, as if a substitute for Aperol had been used, or perhaps the Prosecco was of lower quality. It might have just been an off mix — I hope to try a more classic version next time.
The service was quick and efficient, though the staff felt a bit reserved. A touch more warmth and friendliness would have made the experience even better.
The terrace is a highlight on its own. Quiet, cozy, and free from city noise — a perfect spot to relax. The design and overall ambiance really made me feel like I was briefly in Italy. Soft Italian music was playing in the background, although as someone who knows the language and culture, I did notice a few inappropriate words in one of the songs — hopefully just a random oversight.
All in all, the place left a pleasant impression. Our bill was around €13, and for that we enjoyed a lovely treat and a peaceful evening in a charming atmosphere. I’ll definitely return, especially for...
Read moreVery disaapointed. This is not an italian restaurant.
Staff running around in chaos. When asking to order, waitress responded “the other colleague does the ordering”. We had to wait quite a while to order drinks at least.
When drinks were delivered, waitress asked if the drinks she brought are for us. It seems that information about what orders go to which tables is being lost somewhere.
We were aware that we might wait for the meal more than 20 minutes, since, as it is stated in the menu, they use genuine ingredience and each meal is prepared from scratch. I was not expecting to wait 1 hour and receive incorrect order 2 times.
When we did receive the food, we couldn’t start eating because we have not been provided with cutlery to eat with.
In total, five waitresses visited our table. One who refused to take our order (and was visibly annoyed by my request), one who took the order, one who brought the incorrect food (and was visibly stressed out) one who brought our correct food and one who took our plates.
That is alot of people for just one table.
The food itself was average. Bland in taste, and not seasoned properly. It lacked taste and character (as italian food should have) Pappardelle that I ordered were hot but dry, missed one of key ingredients (parmesan)
In total, lackluster unwilling staff and services, mediocre food for the price.
Unfortunately, not...
Read moreDecent Italian restaurant considerring the food. For pizza, you have to be lucky I guess - the first time I visited a year ago was really great (balanced toppings, good sauce, crunchy edges and firm bottom), this time the taste was still above average but the pizza itself was "wet", the bottom was soft and if you tried to lift a piece every topping fell down. After a while it was clear elwe can eat this only with a gork and a knife. What was still great were the spaghetti Bolognese - very delicious and a lot of meat. The last thing we had was lasagna - avarage as they forgot to put in bechamel souce. So the food was great, but this doesn't help you if you don't get it on the table. Service is unfortunatelly very poor in the restaurant, which is the main reason why we pick it only as a last resort option if all others are full. Drinks took 30 minutes to be brought - even the water for the kids, I asked for twice as it was extremely hot inside. (Outside would be a great 5 star - inside was bad as there is absoputelly no aircondition). In the meantime I visited the bar myself to get at least two glasses of tap water. Overall, the frequency of the staff visiting our table was very low, and I had to chase them to get...
