It's nice to sit outside, right on the sea. Great location. We've been to several restaurants between Piran and Koper for seafood. This restaurant seemed to have fresh fish, but unfortunately for the fish it was made similar to a cafeteria style buffet would make it. Brown sauce, sides sitting in a pan all day, stale bread for 60 cents per seat, etc. The servers don't know the menu in English or German and half of what we wanted to order was either not available or not good enough for us apparently, we didn't understand much of each other. They also didn't bring silverware or side plates. When the server did pass us 2 times on his way to a new table he would say "Everything good, yes!". This didn't even give us a chance to ask for silverware, so we asked another table for their extra. I did say "not really" one time, but got no reaction. I would even have ordered another bottle of wine if we got the chance. Dinner took over 2 hours which would be fine, but most of the time we were waiting for the server, the food (1 hour) and the bill (currently waiting 25 mins since someone took our plates without speaking to us). I'm writing this as my wife went to find our server. When we get our bill, I'm assuming it will be wrong based on other reviews, but here's hoping. The table next to us just got up and left after their appetizer. Smarter than we are. This review has been fun, unforgettable experience for the night that I'm sure I'll forget next week. If you come here, I hope your experience is better. Don't come for good food, come for the view and if it's your thing, the...
Read moreTerrible service, the waitress was very unfriendly at us (maybe because we were only two people thus not as profitable as a group of peolpe but who knows). For drinking we ordered a bottle of sparkling water and she was asking twice if we want sparkling or still mineral water, we told her that we want sparkling water, in the end we got still mineral water but at that time we didnt care too much. Then we ordered the food. I ordered a stuffed calamari from the grill, and again, she asked me if wanted the calamari fried or from the grill, I said that I wanted it fromt the grill. Then the food came and to my surprise I got the fried calamari, at least my girlfriend got what she wanted but I am completely sure that the waitress changed our ordes on purpose. After I paid she threw the receipt on the table and went away without saying anything. I really dont know what we did wrong but for some reason we felt not really welcomed there. My advise: reserve a table couple hours before dinner time at a proper restaurant like Pavel or Neptun and stay away...
Read moreStealing money of tourists!! We (2) ordered 1x coffee, 1x tonic & 1x sardines - which would be total ca 11.80€, but got a surcharge of 4€ on top for an „Easter setting“?! Which was white bread on the table! What a disgrace! When we checked the bill and saw this surcharge, the waiter kindly showed us that it‘s also on the food menu - very true, it says 0.60€ though and it‘s meant per dish! But it nowhere says 2€ and then it even got doubled for us. I find this as purely stealing from tourists on a holiday like this when tons of tourists come and if they charge 2€ each for these festive 3 days for selling „a setting“ they earn a little fortune extra with no energy spent. As most of the people probably don’t question or argue. Shame on you guys!!!
We as well got charged extra water in the coffee as a double coffee.
This attitude kills it all. We‘ll never enter your...
